No Good Reason

Every time I see an interview with either an Indiana congessperson (that's for you Anita) or Wisconsin congressperson, they have no real good argument on why they won't vote. They usually blame the schedule of the vote or they say they are doing their job by letting the people speak. I think deep down they know they are schmucks and can't even formulate a sincere argument. That's what bothers me the most. They know deep down inside they are wrong by not voting. We are a republic and the people elect representatives to represent them. What is not fair about people opting out of unions? If you want to be a part of the union and have that union take your money and give it to the democratic party, that' fine. But you should also have the freedom to not be a part of the union. I just can't get passed the forcing of being in the union.

I was in a union once......once

When I worked at UPS I had to join the union. I didn't have a choice and it always bothered me. Of course I worked my ass off and got a promotion to management in less than a year so I wasn't in the union for very long..but I digress...

Donkey and I have had this discussion many many times and I believe that one of the worst of the many very bad things that FDR did was giving so much power to unions.

The unions are for the workers "protection from being exploited". Hey wait, isn't it illegal to force someone to pay you for protection?
