I have to be honest and tell you that I think maybe the author here is just throwing in some Madison quotes to show off his big brain and knowledge of the Federalist papers or maybe I'm just not that smart because the analogy doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me. However I'm firmly behind the idea that he has and I have been for some time now.

I like Rubio, but this author's assertion that only a Latino can appeal to Latinos is absurd. True conservatism appeals to Latinos because of the same shared social values and it's beneficial to them fiscally to avoid falling victim to the failed liberal policies and the failed welfare state that has crippled the Africana American community.
Isn't he awefully inexperienced? I know you're going to say he will have as much experience as Obama, but that's not a very good argument for you to make because you have been saying for two years that Obama doesn't have enough experience.
I think Rubio has a strong message, however I don't think he has enough experience. I am also not big on members of congress becoming president. I think a Governor is much more suited as experience for the Presidency.
Getlive the experience factor isn't relevant to me and in fact you and this author make a very good point about coming from the senate. Thats why I would prefer that he doesn't get too much experience there. It could taint him.
And of course in a perfect world he would be coming from a governership but it's not a perfect world. The most important thing to me is the message and the man. He is a conservative warrior by all accounts and he has the kind of charisma that will be needed to lead the country through some tough times. Men of principle make the tough calls and people follow them because they have conviction.
It's early and others will emerge but if you ask me now I would vote for Rubio over every other republican out there including christie.
