Question: Why didn't the dems want to meet with Commanding General David Petraeus, the man in charge of "the single mostest importantest issue ever ever" and only begrudgingly agreed (but still no Nancy) when polling indicated that not being briefed on their entire party platform by the man most knowledgeable on the situation didn't track very well (almost as bad as throwing up the white flag in a time of war) with the American people?
Answer: Because Iraq has nothing do with Iraq (in their eyes).

I wish Nancy Pelosi was meeting with General Petraeus--as Commander-in-Chief. But we're stuck with President Shit-for-Brains (Bill Maher's line).
That is about as funny as it is truthful. Dont feign admiration for Petraeus when we both know that if he makes any inkling of positive remarks regarding iraq you will dismiss him out of hand.

Did you ever consider that our anti-Bush position IS rational? The Bush administration, after all, has a track record of over 6 years now and it has been a disaster.
I would be willing to consider that argument if the left had made one single policy initiative to counter said "disaster".
Saying something sucks over and over again doesnt make it not so, and it certainly isnt responsible governing.
