Rhino it seems like money will be spent on the health care of these kids either way. Clinics, hospital write-offs. I mean a hospital is not going to send ana ccount from an illegal immigrant to collections successfully. Everyone absorbs the cost.

Here's an idea, instead of paying for their health care, lets deport these people since they're here illegally.
why are we giving up when we haven't ever tried to enforce the law? Isn't this idea just another way of saying you're welcome to come and break our laws and we'll even pay for your childrens health care? Plus we're going to give you soc. sec. benefits as long as you can prove you worked here for at least 18 months even though American citizens have to work 10 years! Shit that's another post i'm going to have to do.
Thats a load of crap. On one hand its always a great relief when I get capped out on the SS tax, but on the other I know in my heart I just pissed X amout of money away that I will never see.

The costs fall onto the border towns, and maybe each state ought to figure out how to deal? The feds arent doing anything. Bet you think the Democrats are responsible though. They should have fixed this in their one day in office.

Many people here dont qualify for SS with enough quarters so they get SSI instead of SSD. The SSD is the one you want as it comes with the medical. Then again, SSI is automatic food stamps.

Nothing will be done about the alleged problem of illegal immigration. Too much money involved. Immigrants are good for the economy. Many of them start new business, the rest are a cheap source of labor.
On that we agree. The majority of poliwags either openly admit they want open borders or the others are just paying us lip service.
The Bilderbergers are having their way with us by dividing us over semantics, the majority of Americans want border control but yet continue to bicker over the the partisan minutiae.
Until we take to the streets as the illegals did or vote out of office anyone without the fortitude to address this problem seriously nothing will be done.
But if immigration is good for the economy what's the problem? True, some of them are here illegally but I'm not sure I care. Why not get all worked up over them marijuana smokers? I used to live in Redwood City, which is largely Mexican. Some were no doubt born here, some came here legally, and many were here illegally. They all looked the same to me. They minded their own business and I minded mine.
Immigration is good for the economy. Illegal immigration is not.
I say shut the borders down, deport the illegals as you run across them, and eliminate the socialist minimum wage laws that are creating the market for these criminals and their criminal employers.

Well on that we dont agree. It is not a zero sum equation. As addressed in Rhino's post and I agree --- what they contribute is grossly undervalue to what they recieve on the taxpayers dime. This isnt a Mexican issue, I would feel the same way if they were white Europeans or Canadians. The sheer numbers have gotten out of control, and it must be addressed.

Rhino, I'm not sure you're right about illegal immigration not being good for the economy.It's either good for the economy or good for the finances of some very rich people(same thing right, to a Conservative?), which is why nothing is being done.
I agree we need to keep the numbers under control. Maybe a fence is a good idea, I don't know, but I'm not convinced.
Something no one seems to understand in this country. The poor have health care. Any one can show up at the county hospital and you will be treated. Having a lot of relatives with self inflicted, tobacco and alcohol related disorders made me realize that. My dad racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of health care at the county hospital. They'd give him a fancy ride in an ambulance. They'd drain his swollen belly and limbs, insert shunts in his liver, repair his raging rectal problems, feed him and send his ass home and 2 weeks later he'd be back in the hospital for more! All on the taxpayers dime!
My dad's sisters did the same thing. The were always in the county hospital, (when they weren't in jail) with kidney and liver problems from the drinking. They would have a lot of convulsions and did crazy stuff while drunk that got them a lot of concussions and broken legs and crap. They cost the taxpayers a fortune and there's hundreds of thousands of others like them. My mom did the same when she got throat polyps and finally lung cancer.
