That's why i love this chick!
It's nice to have a president who is not so sleazy that not a single Supreme Court justice shows up for his State of the Union address (Bill Clinton, January 1999, when eight justices stayed away to protest Clinton's disregard for the law and David Souter skipped the speech to watch "Sex and the City").

It seems crazy to me by the way that Webb mentions Korea, and Leahy brings up Vietnam, as examples of why we SHOULD pull out of Iraq!
I mean what are they thinking?
Just so we can get it out of the way...Ill assume the role of a liberal and counter the points made by Ms. Ann Coulter.
Shes ugly and mean.
it's not that she's ugly and mean, which is a given. but who cares.
it's that she's a hypocrite.
so hilary clinton rides her husbands coat-tails to power.
and george w. bush didn't ride his father's coat-tails to power?
So how does that make Coulter, a self made woman a hypocrite?
The point is that Hillary is no Thatcher, which her campaign and the media are already trying spin that way.
Its not the Reaganite thing to say but I'd like to go on record and state that.... Ta grain agam ar Thatcher fos
i sometimes think that women are (generally speaking) their own worst enemies in situations like this.
you have situation upon situation upon situation where men have been eased into powerful positions by powerful relatives' influence and/or money and no one blinks an eye or thinks any less of him. but when women do it, they are vilified. and the people who vilify them the most, are other women. read seejanemom. the viciousness of her comments about hilary and nancy pelosi are almost coulteresque. is it jealousy speaking, or what?
i'm not saying one has to agree with all, or any, of what hilary clinton says or does. but if you must attack her, attack her on the merits, don't pull low-ball punches, make innuendo regarding her sexuality, or trash her family and friends.
bill clinton, by the way, like reagan and thatcher, also made his way to the top on his own. and it's the fact that he got to washington without the family and friend connections of, say a george w. bush, that is one of the reasons why the republicans were able to bring him down the way they did.
ta what?
Youre missing the point.
There is no doubt that Hillary is an intelligent woman and would have been succesful in some field even without Bubba (hell turning a thou into a hundo grand aint too shabby) its that she portrays herself as something shes not, and just as importantly how the media get in a frickin tizzy when a liberal {fill in the blank minority quoto}rises to prominence.
Case in point:
Barack Obama: Rock Star
Michael Steele: Uncle Tom
Hillary: Thatcher
Condi: Jemima
Its bullshit...
Understand?
Anita, getting your foot in the door because of family connections is the natural order of things. Nepotism is the most common way that people get their jobs probably in the world. What have you done with the opportunity is the question. What has hillary done?? I can't think of one great or even important thing she has done that would warrant her being the front runner for the democrat nomination.
First, she's a skank. Second, she is not even remotely funny, unless you think Bob Dole viagra jokes are funny. You rightwingers must be desperate for intelligence and wit.
well, i think getting elected to the senate (twice) from new york is quite an accomplishment. and certainly qualifies her to run for higher office.
Anita, NY was carefully chosen just for her. She didn't move here because she wanted better schools for chelsea.
NY is a democratic stronghold. Her husband, algore, and Kerry all CRUSHED the competition in their presidential races.
In fact, she's lucky rudy dropped out or she would be back at the rose law firm trying to figure out how to swindle another land deal.
so what? texas wasn't chosen for george bush? new york wasn't 'chosen' for bobby kennedy? and so and so on.
but once it was "chosen" (as you say) for hilary (maybe she chose it herself) she had to go there and win the 'hearts and minds' of the voters didn't she? and when she won, didn't she have to put on her blue suit like everybody else and work her job? and from all accounts, from the people of new york and her colleagues, she's done a pretty a good job for new yorkers and is respected in the senate. and to top if off, she was RE-elected by a very wide margin.
if rudy had in fact stayed in the race, perhaps he would have beaten her (or perhaps not ... everybody though lazio was going to give her a run for her money, what a joke), but that's only because he'd been (and continues to) milking his 9/11 cred. which, by the way we in new york found out what most of the country doesn't know: that rudy didn't do such a great job after all.
anyway, so what is your point? bottom line is that she's as "qualified" as anyone out there to run for president.
and don't forget, she's a 'politician' ... all politicians sway with public opinion. every single one of them. and to single her out as different, or particularly evil for it is ridiculous.
Lazio? was that his name? Come on anita lets be honest. Hillary ran against a no name who more importantly had NO MONEY the first time, and ran unapposed the second time. I could win by a landslide if nobody else ran!
Texas wasn't "chosen" for Bush, he was actually FROM there. Why didn't hillary run in arkansas?
By the way, i'm not saying hillary is any different than most politicians, she's a scumbag. I'm saying she hasn't done anything except be married to the president and propose a ridiculous socialist health care plan that even the dems rejected soundly. what else has she done?
Also, why do you keep mentioning Bush when i mention hillary? If you think she's the same as him then you're saying you hate her too? And if so then why are you arguing with me?
