Thank God our Florida Forefathers had the foresight to enact a law which stipulates that any vote cast for a disgraced, withdrawn candidate counts as a vote for his replacement! I'm curious to learn after the votes are tallied what percentage of the electorate pushed the lever/punched the butterfly/cast their stones (this is South Florida, after all) for Mark Foley. If you ask me, only they can be called loyal Republicans!
I would not be shocked to see the republican candidate win that district. It's obviously a republican area, so if it was foley himself i would be surprised, but since it's another republican it makes sense that the voters would choose him.
