Whoever said that the pen is mightier than the sword was probably some pusillanimous beatnik hippie writer but maybe they had a point, maybe.
Just as I think that the Iraqi War can not be won through rebuilding and only through the use of the sword or in more modern terms...a fleet of AC series gunships reigning hell on any town where an IED detonates or an American soldier is killed can we achieve total victory.
I also feel that the war that is about to be waged at home MUST be won with the pen. You know, that writing instrument that President Bush has only used once.
We will not hang our heads and complain like liberals. Overcoming obstacles is the crucible that forms character and we are about to deliver a whole six pack of character upside the liberals head, like Craig Mack kickin mad flava in ya ear (payback for the thumpin', only fair)
No time for mourning its time to act, so in that vein The Aurora is orchestrating a veto pen drive to send to Bush. Mr President, you lost Congress, big frickin whoop, damn near every President has in his sixth year and by far greater numbers than you just have. Time to man up George and start using the pen that your momma gave you and make damn sure that the dems know it as well.

is that desperation-muffins i smell? yum!!
ok, i'll join your crusade and send him one of those water pens with a photo of him in it...but wait...when he goes to 'VETO' with this pen, he will be so amused to see his pants float down, revealing where exactly he was 'thumped'.
Hee hee! Bush has a cute ass One!
Must suck to be a Conservative these days. I'm not even sure what the hell a Conservative is these days. Principled, small government, fiscally responsible? Not very many of those. Right-wing proto-fascists? More of those, but they are not Conservative, in my opinion. Neo-conservatives? Intellectuals with no constituency who have abandoned the Bush administration. The religious right?
One, oh one,
The only way is one
You are most excellent for the Blog Roll Honor. THANKS! I hope I will live up to your high standards.
LOVE THE PEN IDEA. Im already on a watch list, so what!
I see how much the will of the people means in some quarters...
Fred,
Thanks for stopping by. Id imagine you stopped here by chance so if you could define "will of the people" that would help me immensely in addressing your comment.
I assume you are alleging that since I am unhappy with the election results from this tuesday past and now expect my President to use the same legal procedures the constitution provides him as they do to a minority party a right to block up and down votes for presidentiial judicial appointees through fillibusting that I am somehow against the "will of the people"
Or maybe you just dont understand how our system of government works and are implying we are a nation ruled by the mob.
Regardless, lets forget all that for a moment. Id be curious to hear your take on what exactly the will of the people is? I mean besides Bush sucks and War is hell....what exactly did the "people" vote for in your eyes
SJM,
Im glad you were satisfied with the linking I gave you. I aim to please.
