Ding Dong The Biotches Are Dead

Congrats to the New York Mets on clinching the Nati'l League East Monday night. Its been too god damn long, but it has been one helluva great season so far. One could even say that it finally made the $7 beers, $6 dogs and $4 peanuts pricetag easier to swallow, heck even the 7 seemed downright pleasant looking back, ok lets not get crazy...would it frickin kill the city to run express trains on weekends. Now lets keep your eyes on the prize and continue playin Mets baseball.

LETS GO METS!!! LETS GO METS!!!
SUCK IT ATLANTA BRAVES

And now for some shameless self promotion. If you notice on the Post's Front Page that D Wright is smoking a cigar. Now it has been widely reported that El Duque was handing them out to the team, leading one to believe that they might be cubanos. WRONG! Our crack team of investigative craic heads have discovered that they were Dominican and that Jose Reyes was the source. It was also revealed that Jose is a long time reader first time caller of The Aurora, big fan...youre great American, so much so that he only smokes one brand of cigar....like a true blue and orange Met he rocks La Aurora Preferido made "by Don(key) Eduardo Leon Jimenes Celebrating The Opening Of The La Aurora Factory D.R. in 1903!"
Thats right folks...
La Aurora, the official celebratory cigar of The New York Mets.

Congrats to the mets.

And more importantly, when are we making another trip to the DR? Or maybe PR, because the gambling is better!

They both had their good and bad points. Well in the PR, we busted the casino (I forgot which one?) had crazy good turkey sandwiches, but almost got raped by a pack of deuce-hundo pound chicas (wait was that a bad thing?). In the DR, the womanfolk are still singing songs about El Gordo Guapo aka El Jefe and the beers were a dollar, but M-Dog almost got us arrested by air marshalls. Good times.

do not go gentle into that good night rage rage against the dying of the light....

That was my first introduction to dylan thomas. Years later some friends of mine started working at The Whitehorse Tavern in NYC and i would be a semi regular there (worked the door on new years eve once) and that bar is famous for being a regular hangout for thomas back in the day.

Good times, good times.......
