i just woke up from a nap (or was it that i passed out again from the heat? not sure. but anyway, my sister sent me this from gawker.com:

"My friend's dad works for ConEd - he just called and told her not to ride the subways any more today, as we will likely have a blackout. ConEd is sending all non-essential employees home right now so they can shut down power to their building. From yesterday's heat, Manhattan has 4 feeders out, putting a big strain on the system. He said in his 30 years working there, he's never seen ConEd act like this, especially at 10:30 in the morning. He said not to panic, but not to take a chance if it can be helped - avoid riding the subway if at all possible."

and then my sister wrote:

"there's a footnote in the same item about a rumored attack on the empire state building next wednesday"

great.

but i'm not complaining.

Hey did anyone notice that it's hot outside?

I don't know about global warming but my balls sweat whenever I move...

Donkey, the hottest place in the world is my basement bathroom in the B-Squared. Can't our goverment do anything about me having to sweat while I shit? It's really uncomfortable.

as if we as humans have never lived with out A/C, but one nice thing is it never gets hot in the Mid East. They have a cool arctic breeze all year, so we should keep bitching about it being 105.
