I almost feel dirty paraphrasing the hillbilly for the title but I will make amends with plenty of dem bashing to follow.
The Democrats arent stupid, they do what they do very well. Unfortunately for the disenchanted rank and file, winning elections isnt their forte. For emphasis...
THE DEMS WILL NOT GAIN CONTROL OF THE CONGRESS.
Staking their future on the Iraq War is a loser, and Ill tell you why. Polls be damned, portraying yourself as the anti war party is pompous at best and ignorantly naive at worst. The assertion that anyone is pro war betrays both human nature as well as that of the nature of war.
It bears repeating but war is indeed hell, and to summarize it with the usual "No blood for oil" "our troops are terrorizing innocents" or "we are worse than Pol Pot and Ghengis Khan" catchphrases..wait I almost forgot the classic "Bush is Hitler" as I was saying it truly shows a complete lack of regard for our troops past and present. The atrocities of war do not discriminate between just and unjust wars. The dems dont grasp this simple evident fact, or do they...
I am of the thinking that they do but lacking a viable plan (on this note it is indeed like Vietnam) they opt to continue their harmful rhetorific finger pointing blame game. This is where they go wrong.
Bush and Co are beatable on many issues. The war isnt one of them. Libs may think Bush is bad, but trust me on this one...islamist terrorists are worse, much worse. The average voter blue and red would agree that Iraq is a shitstorm, but at the same time has the realization that defeat or surrender are not options. Calling our troops murderous thugs doesnt go over well in middle America and certainly doesnt appeal to the elusive independent swing vote.
This may come as a surprise to new readers but I opposed this war (I am a Buchananite afterall) from the get go and battled my esteemed colleague Rhino endlessly for the same reasons I have with it today, but threw my support behind my country as soon as our young men and women set foot in the sand. Never once did I disparage my President, my Country or the troops that defend it. The dems dont understand the concept of constructive criticism or rational dissent, and for that the charges of traitorous America haters remain valid.
To make amends for my bubba quote I will now rectify by paraphrasing Mr Dave Mustaine. The problem with the dems is...
HATE IS THEIR BUSINESS AND BUSINESS SUCKS.
What? You werent expecting me to give you hippies a blueprint to beat the GOP were you? And it aint the economy jackass!
EE-Aw!

Bush isn't Hitler?
I'm pretty sure Bush IS hitler, i mean i read it in the NY Slimes so it must be true....
But anyway, as the donkey says we didn't agree on whether or not we should go into Iraq but we both agree that now that we are there, we need to finish the job.
Also, i read (commie) jonathan alter's most recent article from newsweek, and he actually agrees with donkey, sort of. Of course he's an idiot, but he makes a good point about Joe Leiberman. Leiberman himself is a half a commie but because he supports his president in wartime he's persona non grata with the democrats these days. I hate to do it, but the link to alter is http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3672516/site/newsweek/
whoaa nelly !! the donkey voted for bubba? that makes me wanna say 'EE-Aw!'
"And it aint the economy jackass"
oh, and i read that there is a 50% probability that we are heading into either severe recession and/or stagflation in 4Q06 and beyond. so i think the economy WILL be a major issue going forward.
no anita the donkey didn't vote for bubba. i think you misunderstood something.
The economy is booming. If there's a chance of anything it's INflation, but after what seems like 400 rate hikes in a row, i don't think we really have too much to worry about.
If the dems want to run on the economy that's a big loser.
oh, ok, it was bubba "quote" not bubba "vote" ...
but i'll get back to you on the recession predictions ...
50% probability. Well that settles it. Im selling everything moving to Montana and getting off the grid.
Thats the thing about economists. Half of them are always right. Dont believe the Bush bashing hippie hype Anita the eco is doing just fine. All things considered being that we are at war, the leading indicators look favorable. If the dems could twist the numbers dontcha think they would? Its been a few years since those liberal vampires used the job losses of 9/11 to chastise Bush, funny how you dont hear Kennedy et all mention unemployment anymore.
that gives me a good idea for a post, but i will have to write it myself, no copy and paste.
i'll have to think about it for a while, because i'm too busy and lazy to write for myself.
Was that a poem?

uh oh.
I love storms
a poem? i don't think so. it doesn't rhyme or anything.
poetry doesn't necessarily require rhyme.
think: free verse
oh, 'free verse' ... never mind.
reminds you of, i'm sure:
free love .. therefore .. hippies .. therefore .. commies.
that's the thing about art.
i see paintings that look like they were done in kindergarten classes and people say they're masterpieces, poems don't have to rhyme, sculptures that don't look like anything but junk??
i can't really take these things seriously. it doesn't seem to take any skill. there are no defining characteristics. i could say that this post is a poem and who's to say it's not?
Not to mention the audacity
that art displayed
when he thought he could go it alone
without his good buddy paul
yeah with the white mans afro to boot......
Who is Keyser Soze? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Kobayashi tell it, anybody could have worked for Soze. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And poof. Just like that, he's gone.
Keaton always said, "I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him." Well I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me is Keyser Soze.
Top Ten greatest movie of all time...Any movie where a Baldwin dies is a good movie. In fact besides Outside Providence, it was probably the best performance by a Baldwin ever.
Some people think Fonda Hepburn when asked of classic movie couplings well I will rebut with the thespiatic tandem tour de force of Shore Baldwin.
Ladies and Gentlemen I present you...
