Sounds Of Silence

They say silence is golden, that might be so, but in the case of democrats it sure aint Red White and Blue. Case in point:

John Murtha, the poster boy for the Blame America first crowd is not shy when it comes to press conferences. If something happens in Iraq, hes the first to the cameras. Take Haditha for example, he passed judgement before he even knew the facts.

Murtha's statement: Marines had “killed innocent civilians in cold blood”

Now unless youve had your head in the sand (or are a democrat) you may have noticed that two brave souls from our military were recently captured, tortured, murdered, and who's corpses were used as IEDs to kill more Americans. Ill have you hippies know, all violations of the Geneva Convention.

Murtha's statement:

The silence evidenced by the large blank space underneath Murtha was good but if you ask me a good old fashioned bird or cricket noise works the best...

Hey Donsky saw your comment in below post and I was wondering if they were talking about the trafficing of women on AI? Did they say if they are hiring? Oh, not Amnesty...I meant the trafficers (sp?).

The world cup has been a good watch though and hopefully on Thursday we can beat down on Ghana so we get a chance to beat on some of the better Euro teams.

I agree with your first part, and both parties do it, but I gots to believe that rooting for the bad guys aint right. Its pretty clear cut.

examples:

GOP use the murder of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to score points

Dems use the deaths of Americans to make theirs (but only in round numbers like 2000 or 2500)

The dems want and need things to go poorly in Iraq to poll better and that is just sickening. This war, like every other war in the history of mankind is a shitstorm, but they offer ZERO alternatives to it besides surrender which is unacceptable at this point.

I say klll two camels with one nuke. Carpet bomb the entire country, Propblem solved and Iran and N Korea will soon fall into place.

how the fuck can you root for your own country to lose a war just so that you can get votes????

Joe Leiberman won't do it! I would vote for him, he's got balls

rhino? f word

Rhino-itall said...

yeah f word.... it's worth it on this subject.

donsky why civil war? Says who?

I don't believe that will happen unless we leave too soon. My thought is that once the "insurgency" realizes that the new govt is in and isn't going anywhere they will get involved in the political process. It has started already. Stop reading the ny times man, it will turn your brain into mush!

I hate to do this, considering you made a point I made on 8/23/05 here at The Aurora in a debate between Rhino and Donkey, but I must scold you for quoting George Will.

I scold and shun thee!

Are you serious?

I just scolded and shunned a FOA for quoting George Will, and you bring a knife to an Irish fist-fight by mentioning kos.

Drop the blade and run.

Seriously

Run

Now

1. Donsky says: "my guess is that the dems think calling more attention to these atrocities will have americans wanting blood and translate into more support for the war, which, of course, they are running against this year"

Donsky, that statement, to me, is the height, the pinnacle, and yes, the absolute apex of cynicism. If it's true. And I say IF, because I'm "wishin' and hopin'" that it's not (oh, btw, the first person names the famous 60's pop song that the above phrase --- wishin' and hopin' --- comes from wins a prize) we are truly, truly f****d as a nation. And I will have no choice but to pack up me and my cat and move to our good neighbor to the north, Soviet Canuckistan.

2. The Donkey doesn't like George Will? What's up with that? He's not part of of the Jack A**'s right wing cabal? I certainly would have thought otherwise. Plus, isn't Will a huge, huge baseball fan? Oh, on second thought, maybe he's too much of an intellectual. That must be it. Yes, that's probaly it.

3. Ok, so here's the REAL DEAL. Ms. Anita, yes, THE Ms. Anita, was sitting in the First Class car on the Acela on her way home from the City of Brotherly Love ... Love, I say L U V E (identify THAT tune, too, and a prize could be on it's way to you) ... courtesy of her client, Company X (although Company X has yet to find out ... hey, Anita was tired, and companies need to, well, actually when you think about it, they MUST treat their consultants better anyway) ... and who sat in the seat next to her? Well, it was Bill Cosby. Yes. And say what you will, he is a VERY, VERY funny man. And Anita was laughing, hysterically, all way home.

4. Oh, and where were we? Oh, yeah, human trafficking (spelled: t r a f f i c k i n g ... with a K, son). Everyone here at The Aurora should read the article that fair Glenda at TRB posted there in the forums ... it's called 'Soccer with a Side of Slavery').

anita said...

ooops, sorry. Fair Glenda, Or Glenda The Fair (whatever) is at TBR, not TRB. My apologies to both The Blue Republic (TBR) AS WELL AS The New Republic (aka TRB).

Lefty daily kos is a bunch of pussies. I was blocked from there over a year ago because i dared to disagree with their left wing agenda. If you want to live in your echo chamber over there knock yourself out, but i have about as much respect for those losers as i do for amnesty international, code pink, human rights watch etc. All of whom still after 3 or 4 days have yet to denounce the torture and mutilation of our soldiers! that should tell you everything you need to know about their motivation, and integrity!

anita said...

and the right wing doesn't have it's own version(s) of an echo chamber?

anita said...

for example:

world net daily, echo chamber
FOX, echo chamber
malkin's blog, echo chamber
coulter's 'literary ouevre', echo chamber

and so on.

buchanan, by the way, is not an echo chamber

Rhino-itall said...

I'm sure the right wing has it's echo chambers, but as far as i know they aren't any that you mentioned.
kos actually deletes ALL comments that they don't agree with and then ban the person who put them up.
that doesn't happen at fox, malkin, world net daily, etc.

I can prove it because i read them all the time.
Coulter doesn't need to stop you from speaking because she's right, and she can win the argument and does win the argument EVERY time.
she kind of reminds me of me in that way.

Rhino-itall said...

by the way, aren't you tired of the fox news is evil bullshit yet? they are the only fair and balanced news organization in America.

anita said...

rhino, you've been putting words in my mouth lately. i did not say fox news was 'evil' ... i didn't say anyone was evil. i don't use the word evil. i think it's an evil word.

anita said...

and, by the way, i am not a huge fan of kos. you are assuming again. you know what happens when you assume, don't you?

Rhino-itall said...

anita, sorry you're absolutely correct. My point still stands however that the organizations/people you mention are not echo chambers.

donsky, i know you like george will. my question was to the animal with large ears and large ... well, i wouldn't know about that.

anyway, he wrote, and i quote here:

"I must scold you for quoting George Will.

I scold and shun thee!"

i would have assumed donkey would be a george will acolyte.
