Apparently the "comprehensive" immigration plan for illegal immigrants involves a $2000.00 fine (which we'll never collect) and 2 years of tax amnesty! Can i get that deal? I would gladly pay that fine if i could get 2 years tax amnesty, oh an i also want a get out of jail free card for at least one felony!
The Senate bill also forgives illegal aliens who have committed identity theft by stealing American Social Security numbers to get jobs.
So in addition to the Two Years Tax-Free plan for illegals, they get one free felony.

well, the logic in that escapes me. which is not surprising, since the logic in a lot of things escapes me. actually, i find the entire world lacking in fundamental logic these days.

Sorta reminds me of your gal Coulter when she said "I'd clean apartments too if you told me I did not have to pay any taxes on my wages!"
I think, and have said before, that while it may not be the time for fundamental sweeping reform with its expense and a war going on.. we have to consider that there is immigration and there is the security issue. I think they should prioritize security.
So I'm not sure how we can take a weak stand on identity theft etc. when such crimes also relate to security.

I'm not a security threat however and would gladly pay a 2k fine to get 2 years of tax amnesty.
Also, i would gladly clean apartments or pick vegetables or whatever if i wasn't going to be taxed.
I look at things a little differently, i see opportunity in tax amnesty. Would i or ann personally clean your apartment? probably not but since i have tax amnesty i would immediately start an apartment cleaning business. Of course that is already going on, but it's currently against the law.
