Sweet Home America

Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Well I heard old Neil put her down
Well I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man dont need him around anyhow

We got a thousand points of light
For the homeless man
We got a kinder, gentler,
Machine gun hand
We got department stores
and toilet paper
Got styrofoam boxes
for the ozone layer
Got a man of the people,
says keep hope alive
Got fuel to burn,
got roads to drive.

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.

(Neil Young)

Can someone tell him hes no longer relevant. Hes not a protest singer, hes a profiteer. He was then, he is now.

That being said, when he goes electric he puts on a good show.

Maybe if we think real hard, maybe we can stop this rain...Neil rocks.

I would. But I won't. Cuz he's not.

Neil rocks. relevant then, relevant now. Also if you actually read what he has been saying you'll find he's not quite the bleeding heart liberal you think he is.

When did I say I thought he was a bleeding heart? Just seems to me his politics are directly related to current public sentiment aka record sales.

Once again I will say I dig the guys music when he goes electric and have seen him perform on numerous occasions.

Rock and roll can never die

Ok hue, I get your point there. however, when artists don't write about what is affecting them emotionaly, their music becomes inconsecquential. After all what is art but impressions of the times, ones emotional state and reflections of events.
