Are Facts Obsolete?
What is more frightening than any particular policy or ideology is the widespread habit of disregarding facts. Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey put it this way: "Demagoguery beats data." pussiliency is wrong
I think what conservative are having a harder time grasping is that Bush isnt a conservative. Once that realization kicks in, then all the other issues...immigration, the war, spending etc will fall into place or fall apart if you will for this Presidency.
well ben, i don't know how you know that this thing is descending into a civil war, but i don't think getting out is the answer.
Without getting into the mainstream media argument right now, assuming that a civil war is possible, the answer in my opinion would be to stop it!

Also, Sowell's point is that there is no argument on campus. the overwhelming majority of professors are commies, and the argument from students are few and far between. I think maybe a balance would be better, and so does Sowell.

According to the ny times maybe. However there really is only 2 areas in the whole country that are still a problem, the rest of the country is on board. I'm not in favor of pussing out, i don't think it will help us stategically do anything except lose.
We are the United States of America, we are THE superpower in the world, and I believe the war in Iraq is one of the things that has prevented another attack on our soil. The other thing is if we pussy out it will embolden our enemy. People are saying if we kill Bin Laden or moussaoui(sp) or whoever we'll make martyrs of them, and that will make more scumbags want to join the cause, but that's bullshit! If we pussy out, THAT will help them with recruitment. Losing and or pussying out is never a good idea in war. These animals can not beat us on the battle field, they can only win if we pussy out. Don't pussy out man!
