Straight from the Heroes Mouth

Pjb doesn't think we're doing the right thing? Well i'll see your Buchanan, and i'll raise you an Ollie.

Since U.S. troops entered Iraq three years ago this week, the Iraqi people have held three nationwide elections, written and ratified a constitution and formed their first imperfect but democratically elected government. Yet, compare the number of Google or Lexis-Nexis entries for "Iraqi Elections" with the entries for "Abu Ghraib," and it is amply evident what American editors and publishers consider important news.
It should not, therefore, be a surprise on this third anniversary of OIF's "D-Day" that American public opinion on the war -- whether it is winnable and how it is being managed -- has fallen through the floor. Opponents of the commander in chief are pointing with glee at his sinking poll numbers. His "friends" are running for cover.

Listen I love Ollie and couldnt agree with him more. Im not arguing that good things arent happening and that the media is skewing whats going on on the ground. Let me ask you this, I know you have followed him as long as I and have read his books as well.

Do you think President Ollie would be rebuilding before final victory? Just because our enemies arent wearing uniforms doesnt mean we cant conduct traditional military ops. Level any town that harbors a sniper that kills one of our soldiers. Firebomb any neighborhood where an IED goes off. Send coverts into Syria to find the WMD's Saddam had. This war has been too damn expensive to concern ourself with anything other than the most rudimentary of infrastructure.

They have oil they can pay for it themselves once we are done killing the bad guys.

Kick em in the grill.. grill.. grill Pete!

I don't know what president ollie would do, i only know that the situation in Iraq is a tenous one, and if we don't have the people on our side we don't win. It's that simple.

Its that simple? Really? So youre saying that the key to success in Iraq is having a a glee club? Somebody get the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders on AF1 stat!!!

"Nobody ever won a war by dying for his country, he won it by making the other bastard die for his" — George S. Patton

More killing less rebuilding

again as i said on the last post, why are you bringing this up again? It's just stupid. You won't agree with me, you'll come with a glee club rebuttal and then you'll say it's ME who's stupid.
Have another drink, eat another donut and drop it. no one cares anymore.

However out of curiousity....whos next on the Democrization tour once our mission is accomplished in Iraq? It was a mjority of Saudis that flew into the WTC and they dont have elected officials..how bout them?

This is funny...at least when I was around, you could gang up on me...the plaigarism comment in the last post was stolen from me by the way (can one truly plaigarize stolen material)...or should I say btw for you two internet quee...oh wait, I almost forgot the comment policy but then again, so do you from time to time. Anyway, democracy is a lofty goal for people who don't have toilet paper and wipe their asses w/their right hands. We should have given them a little socialism first and then cojoled them into democracy. What? It worked w/the Viet Nam, right?!? Oh well, play nice girls.
