Lets clear the air and find out where everyone stands. What does the so called Reagan admirer think we should do in our current conflict against the terrorists in Iraq? Should we stay the course until we finish the job? Or should we just go home and do the laundry and dishes? What say you Pnutz?

I think we should evacuate one of the larger cities and drop a nuclear bomb. This might show force in a way that our enemies obviously don't think we have the balls to show. It would show Europe that we aren't trying to colonize (something that they have been guilty of 100x over and only made bad situations worse)...Extenuating circumstances aside, I have been accused of being a liberal which is crazy since I haven't ever voted Dem. except in local elections. All I have ever been is a supporter of our people as a whole...If we wish to continue on as America, I just think we need to take more power back from the Republicans & Democrats who have made lousy desicions for us for far too long. I don't want another soldier to die unless we have a real game plan...and I fear we might never have a United plan.
I certainly agree with you that we need a third party. The problem is that the parties in charge have everything locked up. The problem as i see it, is what i've called the Perot effect. Perot got 18% of the vote, those votes would have gone to Bush I. Now i'm not saying he was a great president, but instead we got stuck with Clinton. 3rd worst president in the last hundred years, right behind FDR, and Carter. I'm not sure i'm willing to risk it agian.
It's funny but don't the Democrats think that they would have gotten those votes? Isn't that why they wanted Nader out too...Just an aside but isn't it funny that so many people voted for Perot after his running mate forgot where he was and what was going on at the presidential debates..."Where am I?" & "what's going on?"
Someone needs an education. Perot was a conservative! why would a conservative vote for Clinton??? ok, i'll answer that question for you, they wouldn't. Nader is a uber-liberal, and of course the dems wanted him out, because those are votes that would have gone to Kerry. Of course nader is also a knucklehead, so he didn't actually get any votes, but that's a story for another day!
Shame on you Pnutz. Earlier on you stated Harry Belafonte deserved my respect, yet here you attempt to shit on Adm James Stockdale one of the most decorated war heroes in Naval history. He endured almost 8 years as POW in Vietnam, and was an absolute irreplaceable inspiration to his fellow prisoners. Here's the problem. He was an intellectual, an original thinker, a student of the great Stoic philosophers. Men like this arent made for talking points, rehearshed Q and A's, and silly little beauty pageant debates on TV. He was trying to make a point, that was unfortunately lost on the tv viewing herd sucking from the teet of the boob tube. Its unfortunate that history will remember him as a buffoon that lost a debate to the little girls quayle and gore, both whom did not deserve to be on the same stage as a man as great as Admiral James Stockdale.
Don't knock Ralph...He is a much better man than you...If it wasn't for him and the work he did w/Consumer Reports et al, your drunk asses & mine would probably have been through some window somewhere along some dark highway...Plus my point was that both of them took fence sitting votes, some Dem some Rep...If in your small world, you could think outside the box then maybe you would see that... Not everyone is so clearly liberal or conservative as you two are...If I wanted a rounded education I wouldn't get it from you two.
Oh by the way, luckily you remember more about him then me...I thought it was funny but I didn't judge his whole life on two seconds...I simply didn't care that much...It wouldn't have mattered if Ross had John fricking Wayne as his running mate. He wasn't going to win. Remember all the crazy stuff w/the made up abduction threats...He was crazy dude...smart but then so is Ralph Nader. Did either of you graduate from Princeton and have a unprecedented legal career? Hmmm, sadly no.
Memo To Pnutz:
Number 1: Apoligize to the Admiral
Number 2: You make an ass of yourself when you continue to lump Donkeys into arguments you have with Rhinos. You do the exact thing you claim to be against...labeling people over and over and over again
Number 3: They have windows on dark highways?
Number 4: Try to make at least one valid point
It's funny, in my dentist office on the ceiling there is this sign that says, "if the first letter and the last letter in a word are in the right place it doesn't matter what the order of the other letters are" but it appears like this "if the frsit ltter and the lsat ltter in a wrod are in the rghit pclae it dseon't mttaer waht the odrer of the ohter ltters are" and you can read it that way...Perhaps I have to spell it out for you but by "window along some dark highway" you could imagine a car but maybe not...Maybe I give you too much credit...As for apologizing to someone I never said something bad about...I will keep it clean & once again reference your hero MJ, "beat it"
You are beginning to crack me up now...you constantly stating how you are "above labels", yet it is apparent you hold them so dear. oooohhhh Princeton thats Ivy league right? Im so fucking incredibly impressed. If I wanted to know whether to buy VHS or Betamax in the 70's then I'd call Ralph, but run my country, I think not.
...Seriously dude you really need to try harder. Just one valid point, just one.
What was your point? Look at the heading above...Was that a valid point. You guys should stop attacking me and come up w/something interesting...a talking point of some sort. Obviously trying to one up me is more interesting to you. Peace. Chill. Heel or something. All I said was that I thought that was funny because Rhino reminded me about your buddy the Admiral (as opposed to your other buddy, the Rear Admiral)...but I forgot that you guys are sooo senstitive about your heroes.
PS - Heres a point for you...my penis in your mouth.
Pnutz it has nothing to do with whether or not i'm clearly liberal or conservative, Perot was clearly a conservative! The people voting for him were not going to vote for Clinton. I don't need a degree from princeton to figure that one out. Nader is clearly a liberal, so he would have taken votes from the liberal candidate. Again, no princeton education needed for this one. Therefore, if you use some basic logic, Perot took 18% of the vote, Bush got 37%, Clinton got 43%. If not for Perot, the odds are that Bush would have won.(37+18=55 > 43) I figured that one out on my own by the way. That's 2 semesters of community college at work!!!
Oh and I hate to tell you this but some Dems vote Republican and some Republicans vote Democrat in a given year. It's America, you are allowed to, so it's not so unbeleivable that people would have a mind of their own......there were plenty of middle of the road Reps who voted for Clinton (no I voted for Bush Sr.) and this probably had more of an effect than Perot. Perhaps this is lost on you but I would hope people vote w/their gut most times and not on who wears what parties banner. Unfortunately, the best man doesn't always win because of this but then isn't voting and having a vote what makes us free.
by my count Im about 27 up on you, nader , and belafonte (some crew you got there)
I don't think Clinto was an Uber liberal...He was an uber fake but his views appealed to a lot of people...not just liberals. I know what your saying and I think it's a good point Rhino but nothing is that clear cut. This is why they have so many problems w/the exit polls...It's impossible to gauge people by their party status...Sometimes all it takes is one difference that isn't major to swing things one way or another...Stem cell research for instance has a big hold on anyone who has alzheimers or their families...Are all those people liberals. I know they are not because my in-laws have dealt w/it for 25 years w/their mother in homes needing medical care...So a seemingly minor issue can make people vote out of their party
27-0 that is good for you!
Hey, Honky Donkey have you ever seen the Big Lebowski...To quote the great one,"that's just like, you know, your opinion man"
Good night Irene(s)...sparring w/you was fun but it's almost time to go home...Peace out suckaz. Have a good night and work on your shiznit tomorrow. Perhaps we should have assignments...You guys should listen to a little Yanni and relax...Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to talk about a Mets win.
Ok, I will make one more comment on this subject and then i'm done. As far as people voting with the party line, it's true not everyone does it, but most people do. One notable exception is Reagan, who got a lot of democrats to vote for him. Clinton however only recieved 43% of the vote. that means he didn't get too many crossovers. Perot was the deciding factor in that election, and of course the "read my lips" thing didn't help. As far as one issue turning an election, i agree with you, but it won't be stem cells, it will be the illegal immigration, and i posted about that already, check it out, it's going to be the biggest hot button issue of the 2006, and 2008 elections.
