There thing to look at in the VP selection is this: did the candidate make a selection aimed at broadening his base to Democrats and Independents, or is he attempting to solidity his base? Clearly the latter, but that base is not enough for him to win. Romney loses. Ryan loses.
Is that the thing to look at? So what was the thinking behind picking joe biden?
Do you think he appealed to republicans and independents? really? Republicans have always known he's an idiot and why would independents be attracted to an idiot?
