Somehow I Think We've Always Known This.....

It's an old adage on Wall St... the market doesn't like uncertainty. Election times, wars, unrest overseas, etc. etc. It makes sense then that Main Street would be the same way and I feel like it always has been. It's not as obvious on Main Street because the local coffe shop (not starbucks) doesn't trade on a stock exchange and you can't see if you're neighbor is shopping at Walmart to save a few bucks. However it makes perfect sense that when people don't know what's going on or they have negative feelings about what's going on politically they will pull back.

So why is this recession sticking around? Why is it headed for or already in a double dip?
