clearly the republicans bailed reid out on this one. He couldn't have gotten this rule through without republican votes. And if the dems were forced to vote and debate Obama's jobs bill it was a lose lose for them. They pass it and they lose because it's all tax increases and spending, or they vote no and admit that they have no confidence in the president. (which is clearly the case) Either way the republicans let them off the hook.
I dont think he got any GOP votes, and even lost 1 Dem. This was an act of desperation, and cant say I blame them after listening to Obamas speech yesterday.
