Solyndra..Waiting for the NY Times

I wanted to do a post on the Solyndra story more than 2 weeks ago. I started doing online research do I could get my facts straight and noticed that there was no coverage from the NY Times? It doesn't surprise me that they didn't jump on the story right away but that made me rethink my own post. I decided to wait and see how they would cover it and I wasn't disappointed.

They waited weeks to do any story at all and then they softened it up and made it seem like it was just the Solyndra people who might have maybe misled the department of energy officials. In fairness they did let you know that Solyndra visited the White House but they say they only met with an assistant to Valerie Jarret. They also mention (on the last page) that the Bush administration knew in 2008 that Solyndra was a loser.

My favorite part is the headline.

In Rush to Assist a Solar Company, U.S. Missed Signs

Does anyone think that if this was the Bush administration the headline would say " U.S. Missed Signs" ?
