Is Lucy Holding the Football Again?

On Tuesday, Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., rejoined the Gang of Six’s deficit-reduction efforts after abandoning the talks several months ago. Other Republicans, including the party’s No. 3 Senate leader, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, and Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, announced their support for the plan.

And so we see who will be playing the role of Charlie Brown. Why do republicans always fall for this trick?

I stand corrected. There aren't six Republicans who are not totally crazy.

Thankfully, there are 234.

Anyways, since you dont have an Economics degree, your opinion is irrelevant.

And you don't have a Climatology degree so I guess your opinion on global warming is irrelevant.

You don't need to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

It really doesn't matter who has a degree in what. Common sense tells us that we spend too much money.

It's not rocket surgery.

We have a huge deficit. It's getting larger. Stop spending.

It's not any more complicated than that.

My point to bring up the economics degree was to mock Contessa Brewer, I didnt realize Gary paid so little attention current events so that Id be able to mock him too.

Here's a thought: raise taxes. I'm not suggesting we raise the top tax rate to the 90% it was during the Eisenhower years, or even the 50% it was during the Reagan years. Let's just let the damned Bush tax cuts, which we couldn't afford then and less so now, and go back to the Clinton years, which were good years for the economy, and as I recall rich people did OK too. And then let's cut some spending too, starting with corporate welfare.

Here's a thought.

Stop spending. Cut spending. Cut budgets and departments etc. etc. etc.

We don't need more money. We need less expenses. It's that simple.

"You dont raise taxes in a recession". Pres. Obama

Raise taxes. What if I owned a bank and said raise the interest rate on your credit card because the bank is losing money. Gary, you would have a fit.
