I applaud Obama's move to ease travel restrictions to Cuba. There was a time and place for the restriction, but if the Cold War is over and Americans can travel to the former Soviet Union, then it only makes sense to open up Cuba as well.
Make no mistake, I am not getting all Sean Penn on you, Fidel Castro is an evil man, but if we are to believe in the democratization process of our other foreign involvements, what better way to spread freedom, than with a cruise ship full Americans in socks sandals and Nascar tank tops?
If you haven't been, I highly recommend it now. Recent historical trends have shown travel to be easier under Democratic presidents than Republicans and the way things are shaping up, you may have only a two year window.
