Gotta Blame It Something

"To be clear, if you're using this event to criticize the "rhetoric" of Mrs. Palin or others with whom you disagree, then you're either: (a) asserting a connection between the "rhetoric" and the shooting, which based on evidence to date would be what we call a vicious lie; or (b) you're not, in which case you're just seizing on a tragedy to try to score unrelated political points, which is contemptible. Which is it?" source

Cant it be both?

For the first time since blogging I am embarrassed for The Aurora, and for the first time we have lost an argument with liberals. We lost, because we argued it in the first place, we gave the insane a semblance of sanity by even debating the merits of their maniacal argument. That we are even discussing whether Sarah Palin or the Tea Party without basis of fact or reason is responsible for the Tucson shootings is a victory for liberals and cause for our embarrassment. We stooped to their hateful vitriolic and rhetorical level. Its about carpet bombing enough of their lies often enough where the sheep assume that they are true from repetition.

The truth matters not to liberals, and we played into their hands. A year from now when discussing the Tucson massacre, Jared Loughner despite being a raging pinko will be thought of as that crazed Tea Party Palinista just as reader Anita incorrectly and ignorantly painted the IRS suicide bomber Joseph Stack as a conservative. Hooray, liberals you win and all it took was to dance on the corpses of the dead to score some cheap political points.

As Getlive just pointed out, this isnt a left right thing....its a fucking psychopath thang. It doesnt matter to us that he is an exteme left wing nut, he's a killer first and foremost and should be strung from his sack and beaten with bats.

But the lies and the hate of the left in reaction to these murders has been sickening and must be confronted. That they would use these deaths to attack political opponents they are unable to debate on merit shows their desperation. Its clear now that Sarah Palin is the most powerful politican in America and they are scared shitless of her because she is right and they are wrong. The whole dumb thing wasnt enough for them, now they want to call her a killer? When was the last time a lib called Ted Kennedy a killer? But somehow Palin is?

I will not be addressing this subject any further after this post, so I want to make The Aurora's position perfectly clear.

We do not believe that Sarah Palin's crosshairs had anything to do with this tragedy. We do not believe the Daily Kos putting Rep. Giffords on their "bullseye" list or declaring that she was "dead to them" two days prior to the shooting had anything to do with the the madman's motive. We do not believe President Obama's remarks to liberals (Loughner amongst its ranks) to "get up in their opponents faces" and to bring a "gun to a knife fight" was the cause of this sad sad day. We do not blame FOX News, MSNBC or CNN.

We do not blame Martin Scorsese for the assassination attempt on President Reagan. We do not blame the soup of the day or the soup du jour at the Ambassador Hotel for the murder of RFK. We do not blame Ozzy Osbourne for teenage suicide. We do not blame the Ford Theater's ticket charges for John Wilkes Booth's execution of Abraham Lincoln. We do not blame J.D. Salinger for John Lennon being shot dead, while Yoko Ono still walks the streets of New York City. We do not blame peanut butter for Aaron Burr outdueling Alexander Hamilton. We will not now or ever blame it on the rain, no matter how many times Milli Vanilli tells us to.

We hold Jared Loughner accountable for his actions.

We believe there is a difference between good and evil, and this was a clear act of evil. To try and explain evil or make excuses for it is to justify it and that we will not do and certainly not for sleezy political points as the left have done in this case before the bodies were in the ground. I remarked that the left should be ashamed of themselves and when a commenter said they are not, Rhino pointed out there can be no shame without morals, and that is evil too and a far greater threat to this nation than a lone gunman on a grassy knoll.

Many died this weekend and for that we should mourn, but I fear the mourning is just beginning because we are slowly witnessing the death of all that was once great about this country.

As they say, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

"Shortly after November's electoral defeat for the Democrats, pollster Mark Penn appeared on Chris Matthews's TV show and remarked that what President Obama needed to reconnect with the American people was another Oklahoma City bombing. To judge from the reaction to Saturday's tragic shootings in Arizona, many on the left (and in the press) agree, and for a while hoped that Jared Lee Loughner's killing spree might fill the bill." source

Now that makes sense. Good job.
