Newark Wins (This One)

My sister, who is as much, if not more conservative than me calls Cory Booker her work husband or something equally stupid. Seems they have done a few projects together in Newark and he's impressed her, democrat and all.

Now I can see why.

When I signed up for Twitter, for some reason he was one of the first to follow me (along with Karl Rove - he's always following) so I followed back. Im not active at all, but its been an immense help with Thundersnow 2010 what with train schedules, closings, discount restaurant offerings etc.

Well Cory Booker has been an absolute madman on Twitter the last couple days. Personally responding to his constituents calls for street plowings, baby diapers, medicine, food, you name it the dude is showing up and getting shit done. Personally.

There was a time, when a politician did more than kiss babies and shake hands.... he worked for and helped those that elected him.

Good to see some of them still exist, kudos Mayor Booker kudos.

I see your point how it can be construed as being detached when your chief executive is seen frollicking in the sun eating snow cones on the beach during a national disaster.

And I had it on good authority before the NY Post broke the story that NYs horrible response was due largely in part to massive union sick outs and slow downs. Real nice assholes.

And may when 2012 rolls around you dont think 2011 was crappy.

Cosmo says hes fat, but I aint down with that.

On a side note, if you can Anita, you should try and see Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson before it closes on Jan 2. I hate Broadway shows but saw it last night and it was crazy funny and rockin good times. I think you would enjoy it.
