So we’re going to continue working on this stuff until we get it done, or we have up-and-down votes and find that it can’t happen that way.”
Basically, if we don't get it done you won't get your 6 weeks of Christmas vacation! .....What are they public school teachers? Crazy thing is that if the dems actually stuck to their guns and backed Reid on this they could probably get whatever they want because the republicans are such bitches.

It is the Republicans who are stalling, insisting that bills be read in their entirety on the floor. So they really cannot complain if it cuts into their Christmas recess. Which they will.
Bottom line I'm all for telling these assholes to forgo their Christmas recess. They've all done a shitty job and don't deserve any time off.

Why do they get 6 weeks of recess? Aren't they representatives of the people? Do the American people get 6 weeks winter break? Not people with jobs.
You know who gets six weeks of recess? The French.
