If we KNEW. I mean if the proof was definitive, no question from anyone in the world, that we were heading to an ice age.....Do you think algore and company would be telling everyone to drive more SUV's? Crank up the smoke stacks? Make the cows fart more? Use more electricity? etc?
I mean if these things are causing the earth to warm, and there's no question an ice age would be worse for the world than warming it would make sense that these people would suggest this correct?
Does anyone out there believe that they would?

I've noticed a pattern with you GW posts. I can cite the National Academy of Sciences, or a paper in "Nature" or the head of the World Meteorological Organization and it doesn't matter because you will dismiss it as part of the "hoax" or plot. You on the other hand will cite a non-peer reviewed article in a LaRouche magazine, or an article by a retired coal scientists on his website, or an oped by a nonscientists and you accept it because it agrees with your opinion. This is not reason or science, it is the exact opposite of both, and that is why you are almost certainly not only wrong, but bone-headed wrong.

I am open-minded and you're not. I read all your GW links, you don't read mine. I read conservative and liberal authors. I am persuaded on GW by the science. I am more impressed by the NAS than a LaRouche magazine, more impressed by a study in a major journal than some coal scientist. You read what you agree with, no matter how disreputable and then agree with what you read. Climate Gate didn't prove what you say (or which of the 3 or 4 emails did you find so persuasive?). You repeat tired, debunked denier arguments, ignoring all contrary evidence. Sometimes I think the more reputable and credentialed a source on GW the more likely you are to dismiss it as part of the hoax. It's all a plot of some kind, right? Meanwhile the arctic ice is melting for the first time in millions of years.

i have read much of the "science" on global warming and i have read the science on the other side.
after weighing the evidence it was clear to me that common sense should rule the day.
you keep mentioning 3 or 4 emails but i only needed to see 1. the one where they talk about rigging the peer review process. I always knew it was the case but didn't have any proof. now i do.
if these "skeptics" were so wrong then why were they kept out of the process? why fear them? why not let them expose themselves for the fools that they are? why the vendetta? why the hatred towards them?
every argument you try to make against my point is one of motive not science. for years you have basically called every skeptic a liar and accused them of taking money from the energy industry. when i showed you a petition of over 30,000 U.S. scientists who didn't take any money from anyone you cried that less than 5000 of them are trained in the field.

these guys that got exposed weren't just some yokel weather men. East Anlia was THE clearing house for all of this info. they were/are THE authority on everything AGW. BEHIND them is the Goddard institute which has already been exposed for their bullshit hockey stick. They had EVERYTHING TO LOSE! Millions in grants and income, reputations,prestige,etc. They had the biggest motive to lie and they did!
