You know what's crazy here is that the TARP deal which was put together by the Bush Administration (and opposed by The Aurora)actually worked out pretty well. Inside of a year all of the money has been paid back with interest. The U.S. government actually made a PROFIT on it.

Crazy but i would still oppose it.

So you didn't think it would work and it did but you're still against it? Your right that is crazy.

Well when i said "crazy" i meant crazy that the government actually did something that worked.

I would still oppose it because i don't believe in government bailing out business. These big banks and Wall St. brokerage firms that made bad decisions should have paid for those decisions. And if they went under? Ok by me. No entity should be too big to fail.
Kind of like a forest fire clears out the dead wood and allows new trees to get some sunlight and grow.

You see gary, we don't flop on our FUNDAMENTAL points. No to gov't bailing out business means NO. Those businesses should have failed.

And we'd be in another Great Depression. No entity too big to fail? Does that include the United States of America?

Um, maybe that's just what we need. This town needs an enema!!!

I prefer to think that, as JFK said, man's problems can be solved by man. But then I am a liberal.

and we'd be in another great depression? How do you figure that?

Oh that's right because Obama said so.

I don't think that would be the case. I could cite a bunch of sources who agree with me but i think they are all retired coal scientists or lackeys for exxon.
