Voting Present?
Holder better hope this works out because as we've seen before Obama can no sooner disown his attorney general than he can his white grandmother, radical pastor, terrorist pals, etc... etc....
The safe, less politically risky, choice for Obama would have been to go with a military tribunal. One has to assume he acted on principle. Risky politically, yes but if KSM is convicted in the end then both Obama and the rule of law come out the winners. I would point out that Israel gave Eichmann a trial.
One must also assume that the government believes it has enough evidence, untainted by torture, against KSM to assure a conviction.
There has to be some bigger plan to all of this. Watch this thing backfire and KSF get OFF for some fucked up reason and then the shit is gonna really gonna hit the fan....Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking....
the point is that the whole thing is just a farce anyway. KSM is NEVER going free whether he wins or not.
So the ONLY motivation is political. Obama want's to put the Bush admin. and the CIA on trial. He can't charge them with anything but can put them on trial by proxy by giving KSM and Holders old law firm a platform and a bullhorn.
As i've said before Obama hates this country. It's pretty obvious to me. He's surrounded himself with people who hate this country for his whole life. His pastor of 20 plus years, his wife, ayers, anita dunn, etc. etc.
He's trying to pack the courts with liberal judges who believe the constitution should "evolve" etc.
But if this thing back fires of course he'll throw holder under the bus because that's his M.O. He doesn't take responsibility and he NEVER exposes who he really is.
You keep talking about what the political thing to do or not do is, whatever happened to doing what's right? A military trial is right. You and Obama are wrong.

I would point out that Israel does not adhere to the Constitution of the United States, the President should.
Trying KSM does not violate the Constitution.
