Democrats care about social service bureaucrats who make their living allegedly working on behalf of the poor — the famed "public service" the Democrats always drone on about — jobs that would disappear if we ever eliminated poverty.
That's why Democrats keep coming up with policies designed to create millions and millions more poor people. Democrats fight tooth and nail against any measures that would actually help the poor, such as allowing schools to fire bad teachers. They refuse to allow parents with children in the rotten D.C. public schools to take money out of the public school system so their kids could go to Sidwell Friends like Chelsea.
Most important, Democrats resolutely refuse to tell the poor the secret to not being poor: Keep your knees together until marriage.

the reality is that the republicans are keeping people poor by restricting the information and education they need, which is, of course, that if they used condoms along with other birth control methods to prevent pregnancy and std's young people and poor people would be taking charge of their own lives and futures.
and, sadly, they are not only working very hard to prevent that very important piece of information from being related to young people here in the united states, they have for years been putting caveats on foreign aid monies which basically withdraw funds if the country provides birth control counseling.

I know how the bible thumpers get you all riled up but you couldnt be more wrong about their impact on the poverty problem in this country. It is not they who control the education system and it is not they who control the welfare system but rather, yup you guessed it, the liberals. The same liberals that have installed a system of pay for failure. Failure in the work place no problem, heres a check. Have your fifth kid out of wedlock, no problem heres a check.
It is not that the poor lack the information its that they have the wrong information. The poor have been sold a bogus bill of goods that it doesnt pay to be personally responsible for their actions and that their benevolent Uncle Sam will make everything better (aka keep them poor)and that only bad things will happen if they succeed (taxes)
As for as foreign aid is concerned for fucks sake there better be caveats, but Im not sure how right you are on that, I know that in regards to Africa that population control, I mean birth control, is of great concern to us as they have proven to be unable to feed, clothe, educate or medicate the numbers they have now. But I suppose what did we expect from creating a welfare state, I mean welfare continent in Africa.

The difference is, Ann Coulter has a lot of money. If she gets pregnant out of wedlock she hires a nanny. If a poor girl gets pregnant her life is fucked up. Ann also uses birth control I am sure.
My co-worker, a Mexican immigrant, who's boyfriend, the father of her baby is illegal, was telling me the other day how effing hard her life is and how her boyfriend can't just go out and find a job to help her support the baby but that she's really afraid he prefers not to work, an idea she has gleaned from his family.
As for poor men using condoms, they don't, because they don't like them and mostly because they don't need to. Often poor girls are poor because they get involved with bad men. Liberals have taken all responsibility away from poor men. Poor men are poor because they are irresponsible losers. They wouldn't support their kids if they did have money. They do not use birth control because they know that leftists will support their children. From cradle to grave liberals interfere in the lives of the poor, only making them much worse.
Like Theodore Dalrymple says, he sees men in prison with their kids faces tattooed on their arms, but these men have never been involved in any way in the raising of their children. My dad was the same way. He was more involved with his selfish pursuits, his kids were a handicap to his pleasures.
Anita you are very wrong to think that poor people don't know about condoms or birth control. A lot of poor people are natural born parasites and a hell of a lot smarter than you or I. Believe me, they know what makes babies. They have kids because they get checks from the government for them or because they want a toy to dress up. My friend is a foster mom to her brother's son. The mother of the boy spends all her time trying to get Devonne's foster care money from my friend. She sees her son a a free ticket to drugs and alcohol. This is a woman who when Devonne was first born refused to get up and feed him and told my friend (who had taken her into her home to care for her and the baby, because she knew what a selfish bitch she was) that "I need my sleep."
Remember my friend Jamel's mom left him alone in an apartment, the day after she had him, the minute she got home from the hospital to go and do drugs. Some other crack addicts came to the apartment and found him, newly born and starving. Poor Jamel has never seen his mom and thought that one of the Black women on American Idol was her because her name was similar.He was so excited, til his Grandma told him she was not his mom.
You guys obviously are ignorant of people outside your sphere. Everyone is not "all warm and fuzzy inside" like liberals. Y'all are too nice! Many people have the choice to use condoms and they choose not to, regardless of the consequences.
If you believe in individual responsibility, as I do, then no liberal can take away responisibility from you, you either choose responsibility or you don't. Some poor people do not accept responisibility for their lives or their children.
Most poor people were born poor. Most rich people were born rich. Note I said "most" not all.
It was a liberal Bill Clinton who reformed welfare. Now if we can only eliminate welfare for the rich. Most conservatives believe in capitalism for the poor and socialism for the rich.

Birth control is only a small pieces of the overall concept of family planning. Of course there are people out there who are living off "the system." But don't tell me that you are not aware that "the system" has shrunk considerably over the past 15 years or so. In fact, it was your friend and mine, Bill Clinton, who brought about some very important reforms to the welfare system.
And believe me, it's not just poor people who are on welfare. There are people who have lost everything due to accidents or other tragedies over which they had no control. If something happened to you whereupon you lost everything and had no family or any other resource to call upon, you'd want, you'd expect, that for all the taxes you pay, there would be something there for you.
Anyway, everybody has anecdotes, stories of people who have misused the welfare system. What about all the people mis-using the Federal contracting system, or abusing the Federal lobbying laws? Those people are causing far more money to be wasted in this country than any abuses to the welfare system.
But back to the family planning issue, I will repeat myself. When young people and people in third-world countries are ARMED, yes ARMED with the tools to take control of their lives and futures, they will. Maybe not 100% of the people, but a significant (i believe ... and not ann coulter's "99%" going to good schools ... so ridiculous) percentage will.

Yes, she can hire a nanny. But she can also have an abortion. Both of which would allow her to continue her career and the consistent uptick in her earnings and investments. Poor women can't hire the nanny OR get affordable child care, thereby keeping them in poverty.
Plus, in some states, it's almost impossible for a poor woman to get an abortion any more. And yes, it's to a great extent because many, many men (and definitely not always poor men) do NOT take responsibility for the children they have created. This phenomenon (men not taking responsibility) Miss C., is, as I am sure you are aware, is a function of men being men, not liberal versus conservative politics.
