"It's hard to think of a recent example of an entire country's tax laws getting changed because of a feeling that one person is making too much money, but that is what is in danger of happening to America in response to the success of one New Yorker, Stephen Schwarzman."

The ENVY tax.
That's just wrong.
anecdotal wednesday, by anita: when i first came to the city, one of my very first job interviews was to be an administrative assistant to one of those main guys at blacksone. can't remember which one it was. don't even remember if i was offered the job.
hmmm ... what if i was offered the job and turned it down? had i taken it, could it be that would i have climbed the ladder there and now be one wealthy bitch?
well, given my experiences working as an admin assistant in the city, i probably would have been expected to climb something other than "the ladder" ...
so, as emily litella so famously stated: never mind.
