Devil is in the Details
The concept worked for the GOP in '94 and helped them gain control of congress for the first time in decades with their Contract with America. If they had stuck to their contract they would still be in control, but that's a story for another day, when another contender (Newt) throws his hat in the race. Now we have Rudy G's 12 Commitments. It's a little vague and short on specifics and of course there's no guarantee that he would stick to these commitments since he hasn't shown a propensity to do so in the past (see his marriage history) but it's a good start.

Wasnt that a movie?
calling this "a little vague" is quite an understatement. it also isn't that well organized--the points that deal with fighting terrorists aren't even grouped together.
i think rudy's campaign is panicking due to mccain's resurrection and the entry of thompson.
so uninspiring...same old concepts, spoken by even older minds.
i'm speaking of all sides, here.
"no guarantee that he would stick to these commitments since he hasn't shown a propensity to do so in the past (see his marriage history)"
absolutely. PARTICULARLY given his marriage history, he really should try to avoid using the word "commitments" gratuitously. that ... plus the fact that it was a move. (and a wonderful movie at that, with a great soundrack ...):
