Quote

"[W]e are confirmed in the opinion, that the present age would be deficient in their duty to God, their posterity and themselves, if they do not establish an American republic. This is the only form of government we wish to see established; for we can never be willingly subject to any other King than He who, being possessed of infinite wisdom, goodness and rectitude, is alone fit to possess unlimited power."

Instructions of Malden, Massachusetts for a Declaration of Independence, 27 May 1776

A Republic if we can keep it, as Franklin said. Unfortunately the Republic is in danger from within, and has been for decades, at least since 1963. Our intelligence apparatus was involved in the assassination of an American President, and has been involved with organized crime and the drug trade.

The current administation has done everything in its power to curtail our civil liberties, and to establish one party rule. They will fail.

As Patrick Buchanan said "A Republic not an Empire."

Perhaps it would be useful if people would stop brainlessly yapping about ''democracy'' and realize that we aren't in one, never have been, and would be in deep trouble if we were.
But then, that would require an element of intelligence rarely seen in the MSM, academia, or the Democratic Underground pit of psychopathologies.
