it's kinda sad that some of these people we think of as 'stars' actually spend the last years of their lives in hollywood old-age homes. according to this article, the guy is trying to raise money just for her funeral expenses.

actually, even though you guys are against 'unions' ... the screen actors guild has been pretty good about providing support for film industry retirees. because, you know, not everyone becomes a star, and as yvonne de carlo's story shows, even those we think of as 'stars' can end up penniless, despite the commitment they put into their careers and/or their talent. sometimes, it's just the luck of the draw.

kind of related, but not: you gotta see david lynch's 'mullholland drive' ... i'm sure the rhinoculous hated it ... except for the lesbian scenes, of course.

I got it and replied. Thanks for the tips, but Ill probably need a backup pub as I intend to be bounced from the first one. Well I dont actually plan on it, but with the largest beer menu in the US, I dont see how I can avoid it.

Anita,

I could think of worse ways to spend my last days than in a hollywood old age home with and annual budget of 100 mil.

I didnt see that movie either, but tell us more about this thespiatic lesbiatic scene you were talking about. Details...
