Me And Julio Down At The Garden
I feel sort of bad for my insinuation in the previous post that Julio is not a World Class Roper, so for your viewing pleasure I bring you Julio The Champion PBR Roper.
This one goes out to SeeJaneMom, her Bio-Dad, and his horse Yo-Yo.
Well i do own a cowboy hat! but that's about as far as i'm prepared to go.
I rode a horse once in Costa Rica. Took it up into the mountains and did a high ropes thing, then rode it back. About 20 minutes each way so i thought i was the man until i saw these crazy bastards.
Anita there are more "rodeo" people than you think. My cousin owns horses on the island and they have high demand for that style, although many of us took English. Point is, its very competitive and some people earn boatloads of money in prizes.
I think its kind of cool to watch. Ive been to bull riding too. Race cars. Demolitions. Monster trucks. Anything to be a spectator to chaos.
Its beer and a good time. So I'm down with it. I still love to ride horses.
I think for our TBR retreat we should do it on Glenda's ranch. That would kick ass.
In Alabama, I think. Or were they drunk dogs? I was pretty young.
I know that my mother got pretty turned on by a mechanical bull champ at a bar and we thought he would become our stepfather. Alas, it only lasted a few days. Then back to brokers and lawyers.
I had a friend growing up whose neighbor owned the legendary Monster Truck Rambo and he'd let us drive it on his property. Wicked good fun. Aint much anything better for a teenager than doing peel outs in a monster truck, except maybe a piece of pussy and the Indy 500.
Where did you see a bullfight?
Spain? Well Ive never been to Spain. Say the ladies are insane there.
believe it or not, i happened to have gone to a bullfight in mexico. it was kind of gruesome, at certain parts, if you know what i'm saying. but it was fun. the crowd certainly was enthused.

I own the Merle Haggard box set and Lefty Frizzell's Greatest Hits...thats about as cowboy as I get. Always considered myself more of a hilljack.
