anyway ... i was unable to see the president's speech the other night. did he explain why he chose not to entertain any of the options outlined in the baker report and instead give it a major F-you and do his own thing?

i think it's because baker is a pussy and that whole commission was bullshit. kind of like the 9/11 commission but with even less qualified participants like vernon jordan and sandra day oconnor. but i'm just speculating.
The Presiden'ts plan is pure wishful thinking. Bill Kristol called it a "taking a last shot." Almost no one believes it will work. Predicting failure for an ill-conceived plan is not the same as rooting for defeat. Rhino and Donkey are the pussies, in that that favor simplistic slogans, and name calling, over rational policies.
