Abracadabra

I have yet to read the Iraq Study Group's report, but apparently after all this time what they have concluded is that there is no "magic formula" to Iraq. Well thanks for the info jackasses. Thats about the stupidest thing Ive heard since I found out there were no Generals or other high ranking officers that had actually fought in Iraq in this or the prior Gulf War on the commision. Just off the top of my head, Id say Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf would have been a better choice than half these numbskulls.

Obviously I haven't read their report either but they seem to be saying that Bush's policies in Iraq aren't working, that "victory" is unachievable, and so we must begin to withdraw. I agree this is obvious but hopefully this will give the politicians the cover they need to get us out of Iraq.

I think it's a pretty impressive group of people they've pulled together. There are a group of generals from each of the services, who seem to be adjunct or something, all of whom seem to have had combat experience. I'm not convinced that having actually "fought in Iraq" should necessarily have been a hard-and-fast pre-requisite to being on the Study Team.

Exactly its political jaw-boning where military solutions are required.

In all due respect wtf do Vernon Jordan and Sandra Day know about anything. Granted they are smart individuals but these committess are more concerned with looking like a bi-partisan benetton commercial than they are in actually accomplishing a damn thing.
