Santorum For President

"In every other issue that concerned the Union, the voice which spoke in most potent tones was that of Pennsylvania," wrote Henry Adams in his history of the United States. Adams would have loved Rick Santorum, whose insistence on giving voice to what he and many others believe is the central issue of our time is potent, sobering -- and far from a guaranteed election-winner. Which hasn't stopped the Senator from returning to the subject again and again in a series of speeches across the state he titled, with a nod to Winston Churchill, "The Gathering Storm."

No doubt that if JFK were writing Profiles in Courage today there would most certainly be a chapter set aside for Sen. Rick Santorum.

Not only will Rick Santorum not be President, he's not going to be a Senator either.

I suppose you already know what the top hit is if you google "santorum"

Yeah Gary, and it shows you how classless liberals are, but what do you expect from the party of Kennedy and Clinton.

The one bright side to this election is if the Dems do win is that the majority of candidates have more in common with me than you or those krazy kos kids, and certainly are more conservative than Chafee. The dems had to run as republicans...what does that tell you? Even if you win...you lose.

I don't think the dems will win a majority, but if they do it will guarantee another white house victory in '08.

Once the people see the start of the impeachment hearings, the investigations into EVERYTHING having to do with Iraq, the vote AGAINST the tax cuts, the kerry/murtha surrender proposals etc. the whole thing will be finished.

But again, i'm pretty confident that the republicans hold both the house and the senate.

And I think that even the Karl Rove directed GOP can't steal and supress enough votes to save their ass this time. But we'll know soon enough.
