Nancy Pelosi Hates Unions

Nancy Pelosi is a union buster. She understands unions for not. The democrat party hates union workers. I know unions, I worked in unions and democrat party you are no friend of unions.

Its the seniority stupid.

To illustrate this story Im going to reveal more about myself than I care to but it is pertinent to the story.

I am white collar. The double windsor the stripes and the tips...all of it. Sometimes Ive even been known to rock the pocket square. I am the prototypical caucasian christian ivy educated male. That aint me babe. That aint me.

I grew up in a household with pictures of Jesus Christ and Martin Luther King. I never understood either, but seeing that my mother did, for lack of a better term I humored them both. I never liked em. I dont believe in holy men and I dont believe in philosophers but more importantly I dont believe in martyrs or victims, and from what I understand of them both neither did they but that is what they preached.

When my mother died, I became what some would call a criminal and theyd be right. This may sound trivial as it is as there are worse scenarios then mine, but I needed to juggle putting food on the table paying the rent and making lacrosse practice after student council meetings. I tried to be a high school student. I had no choice but become a man.

Long story long I get busted on a b and e. Matriculation aint gonna happen. In fairness the Quakers of UP stood by me and kept their free ride on the table. Matriculation werent gonna happen.

Time served.

I became a butcher. I became a brickie. I became a painter. I became a bartender. I became a Teamster.

I made assistant shop steward within two years and foreman within four. Now mind you I was 25 at the time and had no business being either. But I was corrupt. As crooked as you can come. I took the gym bags of money that 560 offered me to pump up overtime and I took the brown bags from corporate to keep overtime down. Everybody won. It was what it was.

I became powerful.

Power is fleeting.

I rolled my sleeves up in 92 and it cost me. My men were told to vote for Clinton. We were ordered to vote for Clinton. I fought against him. I fought against every fuckin wop and chop that would try and hit me, but not the mops as I had an army of brothers behind me led by the infamous JD. I argued that our vote united should be pro-union and free trade but favorable to America first. I was of the mind then as I am now that if we can keep it fair, as we have done before that America will flourish and share with the world what we can, as we always have before. Tables were thrown bats were wielded knifes and guns in every other mans hand. Blood was shed. For democracy?

Now Im no populist, never been, and Im no whatever label you want to put on me, but I supported Buchanan then as much as I do now and I had an entire army that voted with me. We wanted to keep our jobs, keep making money and keep America strong. Bush I failed us and Buchanan or Perot never had a chance. I was asked very nicely to resign.

Clinton signs NAFTA.

The reason I bring this up is... what up with the union loving dems? Seniority matters. Pelosi looks to blow by two senior congressmen, Hoyer and Harmon to put her cronies in. I can argue against the both, but fair is fair...and Hastings and Murtha are a disgrace. It is corrupt cronyism at its worst and it hasnt even been a month. As Rhino said prior...who the fuck elects these people.

Are these really the best 500 our country has to offer?

Im sick of them all

EE-Aw!!!!

What i wonder about, when i see a guy like murtha, or alcee hastings, or ted kennedy etc. is what ever happened to SHAME?

Am i the only person left in the world who thinks we should bring SHAME back?

Does anyone here think ted kennedy could EVER brow beat me the way he does republican judicial nominees? I would CRUSH him! Actually, i probably couldn't crush him, because he has no SHAME!

DISGUSTING.

for better or for worse, it's 'politics as usual' ... it's how things get done in washington. i don't think it's 'disgusting' ... it is what it is.

nancy pelosi has to play dirty in order to gain the control she needs to make changes and keep her position. murtha's gotta be 'rewarded' right? for what he did to force the issue of the failed war efforts (and in my opinion rightly so, even though i've always seen him as corrupt and manipulative).

it's inevitable that the democrats are scrambling for position(s) right now. it's how the system works.

change doesn't happen overnight.

Business as usual.

So why do we continue to send these people back to washington?

What ever happened to principles?

That's what made Santorum so unique, and that's unfortunately why he's out. Good men don't survive in Washington. People vote instead for someone like casey who will say whatever he thinks will get him elected, instead of what he really believes. That's assuming he actually believes in anything at all.
