There have been many times in my life where i found myself rooting for the "bad guy" in the movies. Gordon Gekko in Wall Street, Lex Luthor in the first Superman, and probably my favorite "bad guy" who i didn't think was bad at all, Col. Nathan R Jessup in A Few Good Men.
Last night, as i watched the election results rolling in i was reminded of a line from that movie that i always thought was the best line in the whole movie, and i think it's the perfect sentiment today.
"You fuckin' people. You have no idea how to defend a nation. All you did was weaken a country today, Kaffee. That's all you did. You put people's lives in danger. Sweet dreams, son."
Sweet dreams.

I know you don't mean it, but it really is too bad about steele, he's a good man and a leader. The biggest loss is of course the one that we knew was coming. Rick Santorum. It just goes to show you, if you stick to your principals you can't survive in washington.
Santorum lost me when he compared homosexuality to man on dog sex. Not that I agree with him on much of anything else but I thought that was nutty.

Which is why I am not completely unhappy Julia Corker's father won his Senate race. But I'm not running that photo again.

Knowing you as I think I do and the issues that are important to you...do you really consider the Casey win a WOO HOOOOOO type of win or more of a small marginal victory? You replaced one guy that you hate that disagrees with you on all issues and replaced him with a guy that you like that only disagrees with you on most issues.
Losing Santorum was a huge loss for my side, as he was a great man. Casey is like Santorum lite.
