Tokens Are For Buses

Once again proving that Democrats hate black people

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A ranking Democrat in the House of Representative is apologizing for saying an African-American Senate candidate "slavishly" supported the Republican Party.
House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Maryland, said he meant no offense when he made the remark about Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, the GOP nominee for the seat being vacated by longtime Democratic Sen. Paul Sarbanes.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Hoyer said, "I should not have used those words."

"I should not have used those words."

Yeah no shit. Good thing for you that Democrats cant be racist.

I heard he was also Mrs.Rock's waiter at Cracker Barrel.

...or was that Crate & Barrel?

Hey, dont mess with Crate and Barrel, Fly. Clever pic! They should seel shirts of that on Aurora.

Anyway, on to the post. Donkey, are you like writing a book of examples where Democrats reveal hidden or voert racism?

All groups can have racist members and racism has little to do with party affiliation really. So if a handful of people make questionable statements sometimes, the whole Democratic party should be implicated?

As I recall you dont think all Republicans should be called pediphiles because they happen to have a higher than typical amount. (uh oh!) Point is, you CHOOSE to take an example of a person here or there and draw conclusions about whole groups of people.

Which is kinda the idea of racism, isnt it?

Its like how all your wingnuts jumped all over the Plantation remark ignoring the MANY documented cases where people like Coulter have used the SAME Plantation analogy in other settings. We had to endure the hagmeat's hypocrisy anyway.

I guess its just more fun for you to make it an anti-Democrat issue when it should be an anti racism issue.

lily, you're missing the point.

George Allen said "macaca" and it was front page news every day for 3 weeks. There's still sporadic stories about it. What the hell does it even mean? This guy makes offensive comments, but since he's a democrat he gets a pass.

Also, you're comparing hillary clinton (dem nominee for pres. and current senator) to coulter (syndicated columnist and general wise ass)

You don't see the difference?

It's early, maybe you didn't have coffee yet. apology accepted.

'macaca', i'm getting that tattooed on my ass. i love that word.

First of all Lily stop being a hypocrite. Isnt your whole thing about Republicans arent allowed to mention Bubba in reponse to Bush. Then how are you comparing gay ephebophilia (if I am correct to assume you are referncing Foley)to racsim.

It wasnt the point of my post but your blanket statement that republicans have a "higher than typical amount" of it is asinine. Can you cite specific examples? Id be willing go toe for toe with cases of dem vs gop pervs...I dont think youd be happy with the results.

Back to my point. The dems have shown a systematic racist approach when it comes to dealing with black people, their policies in and of themselves are nothing more than racist dogma.

Pretty weak argument on your part, but if you want to make the case how the gop platform invites perversion then try and make it, I think the dem record regarding racism speaks for itself. Calling others racist which is their MO, does not mean you yourself arent. The dem party HATES black people.

wingnuts? Im disappointed, cant you do better? Y'all were cuter when you called us nazis?

regarding macas...I cant believe noone picked up on the fact that there are Indian tribes native to the Virginias, that are damn near carbon copies of that word. Every newsjackass was trying to decipher that word for weeks, macau monkey? frickin idjits...he was calling the kid an Indian. Do I have to tell everybody everything????

Fly...its Cracka Barrel

donsky, i was thinking the same thing about allen's macaca statement (although, to be clear, he does have a well-documented record of statements and actions that could very well be interpreted as racist).

remember a few years back when some administrative guy (a black man) in washington used the word 'niggardly'? he was using the word correctly as in stingy or penurious. but people rose up against him because they obviously had never heard the word before and thought he was being derogatory, and using the N word.

unbelievably, the guy lost his job because some people were relatively illiterate.

Rhino-itall said...

donsky, pay attention.

The kid who was called macaca had a mohawk haircut, but the media ran with the whole thing for weeks! they MADE something out of nothing.
Donkey didn't pounce on him and say he was a racist, but if HIS party affiliation was different he would be called a racist. That's the point.

There is a crazy double standard.

Also, you say lily is right? about what? are you saying there are more sex scandals involving the GOP than the dems? clinton ALONE has had more sex scandals than the entire republican party!

Rhino-itall said...

anita, he has a well documented record of what??? please cite examples because i haven't seen this "well documented record"

I should have took your advice Rhino and waited until I had a cup of coffee (late and great night at Shea last night with the FLy, Mrs Fly, and Mrs Donkey)

I was so dumbfounded by Lily's comment I was sidetracked from my own point which is although I do believe the policies of the democratic party are intrinsically racist...my point is about the free pass they seem to get about it.

Donsky and Anita...I will get to you two after my second cup

The best part of waking up is Folgers in my cup?

I don't drink coffee so it's going to have to be the hair of the dog for me.

Yo, Donkey, it looks like Momma Fly will be making the journey to La Shea w/us again tonight. Fakehead got an extra ticket off the Mets website. They released some extra tix today without announcing it. Looks like you'll get a chance to win back a sausage sandwich tonight after the boxing you took yesterday! Hey, I wouldn't complain...last night was about as good as it gets.

nig·gard (ngrd) KEY

NOUN:

A stingy, grasping person; a miser.

I always thought it meant slow or lazy...hmmm,maybe I'm racist!

LETS GO METS!

anita said...

Well, it's not quite a 'documented racist record' but more that he has done and said things that give the strong impression that he is either racist or that he is pandering to racists. For example, he kept a noose hanging from a tree in his law office, a pretty offensive gesture, particularly in the south. He has consistently hung the confederate flag in his home and I read in his college dorm rooms. And, he has opposed civil rights legistlation, such as the 1991 Civil Rights Act.

So Donsky are you somehow inferring that referring to a black man as slavishly is not racist? For some reason I dont think he was insinuating that Michael Steele is from Montengro, Slovenia maybe.

Anonymous said...

....and enough with this Confederacy bashing. What the fuck is everybody's problem with the Confederate Flag...its retarded...at the onset of the Civil War there were more slave states in the Union than in the South. Im getting tired of this pussy pc bullshit. If you have white guilt deal with it internally. Im fucking tired of it. Slavery is so last century.

Rhino-itall said...

Ok, once again for all of our readers who went to ivy league schools (you know who you are donsky)

PAY ATTENTION.

macaca? who the fuck knows that it's a french colonist slur word???? the media MADE it an issue, and THAT is the point of the original post.

So once again for everyone. Donkey was simply pointing out that if a republican had said "slavishly" whether it was used correctly or not, whether his intentions were pure or not, he would have been crucified in the press, and by jesse jackass, and everyone else, but since it was a democrat, he gets nothing.

do you really believe this guy wasn't calling steele a house nigger???? of course he was.

Anita, i haven't checked it out, but i'm throwing the bullshit flag on your info. don't believe the hype. Even if the guy was a complete racist and was a current member of the kkk, he would have to know that it's political suicide to do these things, unless of course he was a democrat in which case he could just hang with robert byrd and tell nigger jokes all day and still get re-elected AND be considered a great party leader and the conscience of his party!

"He also had a Confederate flag in his law office in Charlottesville and a hangman's noose, leading to criticism that he is a racist."

Rhino-itall said...

Donsky, i never said it was ignored, i said he got a pass. Of course it was reported, and so was robert byrds membership in the kkk, and hillary clinton calling someone a "fucking jew bastard" and making fun of former mayor willie brown with a "mock African-American accent"

That's the point. macaca was front page news EVERY DAY for WEEKS, and it's still around today. "slavishly" is gone already.

we don't know the intent of macaca, or slavishly, but the dem gets a pass with his apology and explanation.

finally, i'm not comparing the words. personally i think he just misspoke but either way he apologized and claimed he didn't know. that would be enough if he was a dem.

Anita, i stand corrected and apologize for throwing the bullshit flag at you. From what i've read he did in fact have a noose hanging from a tree in his law office.

Nonsense, everyone is racist! Its human nature to hate. Even those that consider themslves ultra tolerant consider themselves "better" than those they consider non-tolerant. I am nicer than you nanner, nanner. You are against illegal immigration, so you are a meany, but I am different and superior. I am good and you are bad!
