Well either Tancredo, or Rhino. Either one would be a good candidate........
My preference would be a new party. My preference would be to build an alternative to the Republican-Democratic political trap. But time is short. I don't see this happening in 2008.

well, i don't.
at first blush, it seems the guy is for the most part a "one-issue" politician. so he's presumably got a comprehensive strategy on border security. what about the plethora of other issues?
second, who is this guy? he's a "local" guy, which is not a problem in itself, but i think a sucessful "new party" will require an individual who can have serious appeal across an extremely wide ideological, regional and cultural divides. this guy doesn't cut it there either. or at least i doubt it.
one question rhinoculous: does it ever strike you as amusing that WND is the place to go for "pat boone merchandise" ... "patsgold.com" ... ?? do they sell lawrence welk merchandise as well (a one and a two !)? 'cause i've been looking to complete my collection.
oh, and second question: how many pat boone cd's do you have in your collection?
Sadly my pat boone collection was stolen in a recent break in of my home. the suspected perp was my mom, but i'm sticking with the innocent until proven guilty thing!
As for Tancredo, i'm not saying he's the perfect candidate, thats why i have the ? there, but we don't know enough about him yet, and as i said in a post about a year ago the border/illegal immigrant issue will be the deciding factor in the next presidential election. I still feel that way.
More than Iraq, more than taxes, more than ANYTHING else this issue resonates with the voters. And i KNOW that both myself and Tancredo are in the majority.
