The Final Countdown

Once again I will risk my own personal safety and well being to expose the devil that walks amongst us. I have seen the great evil and thy name be iPod.

The propephcy as told by the donkey is beginning to unfold and I fear the end is nigh.

Consider the following...

Styx (Band) : Foretellers of the Robotic Age, thru their best selling single Mr Roboto, in which the last words Kilroy predicted the death of radio at the hands of the iPod.

Styx (River) : "A river that separates the world of the living from the world of the dead. Styx it is said winds around Hades (hell or the underworld are other names) nine times. Its name comes from the Greek word stugein which means hate, Styx, the river of hate." courtesy of Michael Dawson

Styx (Goddess) : Mother of Nike

Nike : Goddess of Victory

Is Jobs telling us that the War is already over and that his iTunes minions (iTunions) were victorious, or is he just taunting us over the inevitable end of our existence? I pray its not too late. Repent now, dust off your old Walkmans, dig out your old "Kick Ass Prom" , "Summer '88" and "Cool Songs" mixed tape collection, and make like Frodo to Mt Doom and destroy the white (portable) devil while you still can. Fourteen days until 06/06/06

The circle is almost complete....

I can't go back to a life without a string in my ear, Donkeyhue. Its...an addiction. I am addicted to noise. Its evil, I know.

The mind knows but the soul is weak.

You are missing the point. The music is not the problem, its the portal in which you channel it. I myself rock the NetMD constantly and on occasion break out the old school Sony Walkman (with Thomas Dolby) cassette player.

Damn you fools cant you see the signs?

Thomas Dolby? Did he blind you with science?

My friend Emu was the 2-miler on our track team. On our 8-mile, 10-mile runs, he ran with a portable 8-Track player with big 70s headphones. He only had one 8-Track, Styx greatest hits. He knew the place on each of the 4 tracks where "Lady" and "Sail Away" started. I think he's in the union at Electric Boat now.
