Another Rhino Reco....

Everyone makes mistakes, especially young people, but the outpouring of support for the victims and their families is obscuring what ought to be a flashing neon warning for potential future victims

Will someone please stifle that woman??? ... she's a disgrace ... typical "blame the victim" blather ... it's gross and disgusting ... she's not only an embarrassment to women, but she's an embarrassment to humanity.

Im going to have to do a re-post on my bash piece on the Duke players. I, of all people got suckered into DA and the media's slant on this, when every piece of evidence thats coming to light seems to exonerate the players. Ill let it play out before I cast any further judgement.

Coulter For MOTW!!!

I sometimes agree with her but on this she is wrong. I don't agree with Anita's view that she is blaming the victim when Coulter went on her common sense rant...I agree with Coulter there. People need to show a little more discretion unless they are not interested in consequences. What I disagree with her on is her view that people who do dishonorable things unabashedly defen them. For instance, she says that people who have abortions always have to defend abortion rights. People who go to strip clubs therefore propegate and promote there existence. This is untrue and even insulting. People have guilt. They beat themselves up over lesser evils than abortion and raunchy night club attendance. I have a good friend who had an abortion and it almost killed her to do it. She not only doesn't support abortion, I think she would do anything to take it back...but I don't know that would be a Coulter like assumption. Finally she said, "The Christian answer is: I can never pay this back, but luckily that Christ fellow has already paid my debt." This is supremely insulting. I don't know what religion she practices but to Catholic's and any Christians for that matter, forgiveness is granted upon admission of guilt and repentance. Jesus didn't die to give us a free pass on sin. The fact that she would even portray it that way is insulting.

Fly, she's not saying EVERYONE, she's saying that is the general mood and agenda. No one wants to be too judgemental anymore. I think she's dead on as usual.

Anita, she's not blaming the victim, if indeed this chick is a victim. The point is that morally no one is objecting to this chick being a stripper, and no one is saying there's anything wrong with these guys hiring a stripper for their party.

She points out correctly that not too long ago there would be outrage over these things, but now we don't want to judge anyone. Personally i think strippers, and stip clubs were hotter when they were considered seedy.

She should have been more clear...I do agree with what you are saying about strip clubs, etc...like college girlz and the whole girls gone wild thing.
When it was the exception not the norm for girls to flash, make out w/other chicks, etc.,it was a lot more provocative. However, I really doubt that has anything to do w/her point. That's just our "point" talking or talking point!

Whoa ben, that's a big statement to say that these guys get away with assault every year. you might want to rephrase that.

Anyway, this chick claims she was raped by 3 men, yet there is NO dna evidence to back her up, plus, according to what i've heard so far, the chick she was with drove her to a grocery store and told the security guard she didn't know her (lie) and that the chick wouldn't get out of her car. The security guard said the driver smelled of alchohol, and that the "victim" seemed to be on some drugs or whatever.
Apparently the girl couldn't identify these guys, except by "scratches on their body" and one of the guys she fingered had a alibi so he didn't even get arrested. Also, the DA in that town is up for re-election next month.
I'm not saying this chick is lying, but from what i've heard so far i think there's at least some reasonable doubt.

Ive been to many LAX frat parties in my life, so it doesnt surprise me either. It just seems with that these guys were proven guilty by the DA, the college, and the community (myself included) right off the bat, and since then mucho holes have been punched in her story.

1. Her attorney claimed the men were wearing long sleeve shirts therefore the reason no dna found under her fingernails. Pictures clearly show NOONE at party (in pics at least) were wearing LS shirts.

2. The cab, atm, dorm swipe card chronology of events seems to put the one alleged assailant in the clear

3. Other stripper denying event then changinging her story (DA pressure perhaps)

4. Pictures showing alleged victim leaving in an orderly albeit drunkenly non panicked manner.

...Like I said though Im reserving judgement until this plays out and more facts and evidence are revealed.

Ben i am sure they get special treatment, as do athletes at all universities in all major sports. i only took issue with your statement that they "literally get away with assault" every year.
