"I'm not responsible for my vote"

Senator Jay Rockefeller (D WV) was on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace this weekend. He was challenged by Chris to defend his speeches and statements that he made during the runup to war. Not only did he look like an idiot, but he actually said that he's not responsible for his own vote! Very funny stuff. In fact as i noted in a previous post, many democrats were making inflamatory statements to the media. Rockefeller himself said that saddam was
"an imminent threat"
and that saddam
"has a nuclear program".
The president never said either of these things! So who was responsible for selling the war to the American people? Who was "hyping" the intelligence? Check it out here.

It is pretty sad...Why can't they just admit that it was a mistake and not a lie...They have to act like victims all the time as it is there only hope...hope that people will feel sorry for them and toss them a cracker or something like that. Anyway, I like how he said he didn't take responsibility for their vote...and then he did take responsibility for it. Either way, I'd like all the 'Dems to drop this nonsense and move on...It's not going to change anything by pointing fingers and asking over and over again who was wrong...

Or fly why can't they just admit that it wasn't a mistake? Maybe the intelligence was wrong, but we did what we had to do based on what we knew. If i'm a cop, chasing a bad guy, i tell him to stop and he doesn't, then he turns and it appears he's pointing a gun at me, i shoot! he might not have had a gun, but given his violent past and history of shooting at cops, i can't take the chance. That's not a mistake, that's a smart move. the only thing these people are doing is hurting our troops that are in the field. they embolden the enemy by making them think we are weak, that we are not united, that we will quit soon, that we are like the french.

We certainly are not French and we are not Devo either...I know what you are saying and I agree...there wasn't a mistake, an oversight or anything like that. I don't think we should have any regrets. If the world was perfect and we went to war then we would have made a mistake but the world ain't perfect...not by a long shot.
