All day, I watch CNBC and they have been interviewing politicians every day about pork barrel spending. It's driving me crazy, because I hear these people talking about giving back the pork, and they don't even try to hide the fact that it's not necessary spending!!!
I mean they're not even trying to lie about it, they just admit that they're spending money, to spend money, and they don't want to give it back, unless everyone else gives back theirs!!! Am I the only person who is offended by this? This is my money they're spending! This is your money that they're spending, and they don't NEED this money, they just WANT this money! I'm not picking sides, because everyone is guilty of this, but at least they should lie to us!! Please tell me the bridge to nowhere is needed for something! Please, justify it, or else why are you spending my money? I have seen Congressman Harold Ford Jr.(D) Tennessee at least 3 times in the last week and a half saying he'll give up all of his pork if everyone else will!!! What?? So you admit that you're wasting my money, but you're going to continue to waste it unless everyone else gives up their waste too! And just to be fair, since i named a democrat, what the F is up with Chuck Grassley (R) Iowa? Apparently he thinks a rainforest in Iowa is a good idea, and the funding shouldn't be cut, because it was promised and approved over a year ago!!! These people should all be removed from office immediately!

I almost got excited to see another poster but alas it is a blurb/ad for another person's blog...gotta love it...Anyway I actually agree w/you here kiddo. It's ridiculous. In your state Pataki wanted to use 911/Anti-terror money to build a light rail in the Albany area...Sometimes our politicians turn money we are willing to give towards a vaulable tax into pork. They are magicians...It's funny like the fact that he just decided against the underground memorial to 911 victims...not because Pataki thought it was a bad idea but because others thought it was (most notably Guiliani & Billary). Even the good politicians have a little weasel or jackal in them.
I thought that it was a bad idea to have the memorial underground too by the way...but it wasn't because others thought it was a bad idea. It just was...The victims deserve to be memorialized above ground in the sunshine where people can reflect...not buried underground.
