Paying Attention?

Obama now has a super majority in congress so to all of you who thought cap and tax was a dead issue in the senate think again. For those of us who hoped socialized medicine wouldn't make it....not good. Finally, and most dangerous in my opinion. When Obama gives citizenship to the 20 million plus illegal aliens and has his cronies at ACORN (who are getting BILLIONS from the stimulus spending) organize these people to vote......what can stop him? Who's to say he won't try to make a change to the constitution so he can be a dictator for life? He admires or at least supports the other dictators around the world be it in Iran, Venezuela, or HONDURAS

Gay Duke U. Official Attempts to Sell Black 5-Year-Old Son for Sex: MSM Out to Lunch.

"Frank Lombard is an associate director at Duke University's Global Health Institute and a homosexual who was charged last week with the molestation of his adopted 5-year-old black son and actively trying to sell him for sex on the internet.

The 40 words above are 40 more than the Main Stream Media has said on this horrible story. "

Let Me Get This Straight....

People marching in defiance of tyranny in Iran and Obama says........Nothing
He comes under pressure and then says he doesn't think the U.S. should be involved but we'll be witnesses? He doesn't condemn the violence against the peaceful protestors who have been cheated and who are oppressed.

Isreal? Well he's been trying to pressure them and tell them what to do for months now. In favor of the palestinians of course.

And now we have Honduras.

Donkey said to me today..... What's going on in Honduras. I said I read something this weekend, it's a military coup. Donkey said..." I don't know. It seems shady to me that we're on the same side as Hugo Chavez" I decided to read up a little more on it. Turns out the original story I read left out some info.

The president of Honduras decides to follow the lead of Hugo Chavez and ignore his own constitution. He's looking to be dictator for life. The people are outraged at the attempted theft of their liberty. They're not interested in tyranny. However the Honduran Supreme Court has declared his move unconstitutional. The Honduran Congress has said it's illegal. The supreme court orders the military to detain and remove the president in accordance with their laws.

Obama says it's a coup and it's illegal?

How many ways can he say it? He's not going to come out and tell you directly that he's a marxist but look at the evidence.

Praise For Obama From The Aurora?

If my president does something that I believe in or that I agree with I will give him praise. Unfortunately these praiseworthy events are extremely rare. So far there have been 2 in the area of foreign policy.

1. Taking out those pirates. Atta Boy!

2. On Friday officials said eight people including five foreigners -- Pakistani officials use the term "foreigners" to describe Al-Qaeda militants -- died in the missile strike at the house of a pro-Taliban tribesman near Mir Ali. Good Job Mr. President.

Of course we aspire to be like FOX news. Fair and Balanced. So with that being said we have to mention the complete and utter failure on the Iranian debacle. The people there are clamoring for freedom, and my president is going out for ice cream.

A Hundred IS Change......

From National Review Online

Obama From the Campaign [Greg Pollowitz]
Remember that big speech on the night Senator Obama secured the nomination? An excerpt:

Change is realizing that meeting today's threats requires not just our firepower, but the power of our diplomacy—tough, direct diplomacy where the president of the United States isn't afraid to let any petty dictator know where America stands and what we stand for. We must once again have the courage and conviction to lead the free world. That is the legacy of Roosevelt, and Truman, and Kennedy. That's what the American people want. That's what change is.

So, where exactly does America stand, and what do we stand for, with Iran? Do Obama's actions really honor the legacy of Roosevelt, Truman, and Kennedy?

Can I Write The Democratic Party Off On My Taxes?

George Will on point...

"The president characteristically denies that he is doing what he is doing -- putting the nation on a path to an outcome he considers desirable -- just as he denies any intention of running General Motors. Nevertheless, the unifying constant of his domestic policies -- their connecting thread -- is that they advance the Democrats' dependency agenda. The party of government aims to make Americans more equal by making them equally dependent on government for more and more things." link

The Answer Is No, Baby Its Cold Outside

Twelve-month long drop in world temperatures wipes out a century of warming

Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile -- the list goes on and on.
No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C -- a value large enough to wipe out most of the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year's time. For all four sources, it's the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down. link

It short, the warming alarmists are wrong.

Did You Know?

That people who grew up in socialist countries tend to believe that redistribution of wealth is a good idea?

Forget other countries, I can show you this in different neighborhoods. If you grow up in a hood where everyone is on welfare you tend to think it's fair and right. Not everyone mind you, but the majority. Same thing with unions. If you grow up in a household where your parents are union employee's you tend to be pro union. Your family roots for the Jets? (sorry) guess what most children will tend to be? Losers.....oops, I mean Jets fans. The list goes on and on.

I bet these guys from Harvard got a multi million dollar grant to do this study and anyone with common sense could have told you the exact same thing for free.

Maybe "guessing" Wasn't The Way to Go...

Biden tells "Meet the Press" that "everyone guessed wrong" on the impact of the stimulus, economy was worse off than anyone thought.
Backs away from the estimate that the funds could create or save 3.5 million jobs, instead promises 600,000 by the end of the summer.

And I'm pretty sure "Everyone" is a bit of an exaggeration. I remember many people saying it wouldn't work and that the numbers were bullshit. In fact, I remember The Aurora saying it wouldn't work about a hundred times.

Finally, I'm pretty sure the president knew it wouldn't "create or save" millions of jobs. However he got to give billions to ACORN and the unions so we've got that going for us.

Normally I would say that Joe Biden is lying too, but in this case I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He's really stupid and seems to not know anything about .....well .....anything, so I'm going to say that he probably believed it would work.

Hockey Fans?

Hey Getlive the Penguins just won the Stanley Cup! I know you're a Rangers fan but I seem to recall you wearing a Penguins hat every day from 1991 - 1995 so congrats on that and on that other little thing.

Marc-Andre Fleury just stood on his head for 2 straight periods. I can't even believe how dominant the Red Wings were for the 2nd and 3rd periods and all they got was 1 goal. Just an unreal performance by this guy.

So here's a debate for everyone.

What team sport do the best athletes come from? Here's my picks in order:

Hockey

Football

Basketball

Soccer

Baseball

The Forgotten Man

I'm not surprised at all that Obama is a radical marxist/fascist. The Aurora predicted as much. I am however amazed at how fast he's moving to enslave the American people and how little resistance he's getting.

When someone proposes to take your money, the money that you earned with your labor and use it for his own ends, he is stealing your liberty. This is what Obama is doing. He wants to "spread the wealth/redistribute" on the backs of the middle class. Oh I know he's saying all the populist things about taxing the rich, but there's not enough rich people in the WORLD much less in this country to pay for all of these things. Obama is not stupid, he knows this. So where will the money come from?

He'll take it from THE FORGOTTEN MAN.

As soon as A observes something which seems to him to be wrong, from which X is suffering, A talks it over with B, and A and B then propose to get a law passed to remedy the evil and help X. Their law always proposes to determine what C shall do for X or, in the better case, what A, B and C shall do for X. As for A and B, who get a law to make themselves do for X what they are willing to do for him, we have nothing to say except that they might better have done it without any law, but what I want to do is to look up C. I want to show you what manner of man he is. I call him the Forgotten Man. Perhaps the appellation is not strictly correct. He is the man who never is thought of. He is the victim of the reformer, social speculator and philanthropist, and I hope to show you before I get through that he deserves your notice both for his character and for the many burdens which are laid upon him.

Corporations Don't Pay Taxes!

I don't know why the general public doesn't understand this, or maybe they do. I don't know. What I do know however is that liberals always argue for higher corporate taxes. Why?

Big corporations that pay all these taxes just pass that expense on to the consumer. Raise their taxes and they will raise their prices. It's really simple and yet stupid liberals can't seem to figure this out. Or maybe they have figured it out but are counting on the voting public to not be able to figure it out so they need a bad guy to punish in the name of fighting for the little guy.

Which do you think it is?

I mention this because of the coming debate (will we have one?) on the Waxman cap and trade bill. I can't say it any better than Joseph Phillips at Big Hollywood.

Maybe He Stayed at a Holiday Inn Last Night...

I like those commercials. Somebody is completely unqualified to do the job but is giving advice anyway because they stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Reminds me of someone.

When Burke wrote of his apprehension about "new power in new persons," I could not help think of the new powers that have been created by which a new President of the United States -- a man with zero experience in business -- can fire the head of General Motors and tell banks how to run their businesses.
