True....True...

Bush removed the Taliban from power, captured or killed the lunatics and, for the next seven years, about the only news we heard out of Afghanistan were occasional announcements of parliamentary elections, new schools, water and electricity plants.

It's all so clear now. Bush is some kind of genius. Instead of doing what a lesser intellect might do, sending sufficient forces to Afghanistan, killing bin Laden, and getting out, he cleverly stayed 8 years, let OBL escape, let the Taliban take over much of the countryside. So that he could take out Saddam.

Ah, the stoopid ... Not Ann Coulter though. I doubt she believes a word of it. But you do. Jesus.

gary i know you think i'm God-like but really you don't have to call me Jesus.

Anyway, you must admit that things have gone down hill in Afghanistan since Obama has been in office.

You must also admit that the Iranian people not only didn't get help from Obama but actually got screwed over by him

You must admit too that Obama said the war in Afghanistan was a war of necessity and now he's flip flopping on it

You must also admit that YOU said we should be concentrating on Afghanistan and now YOU are flip flopping

Or you can NOT admit it and be the lying hypocrite weasel that i have always believed you are.

I agree things in Afghanistan have been going downhill since Obama has been in office. They were also going downhill before he took office.

I do think that we should have concentrated our efforts on al Qaeda, the people who attacked us on 911, rather than the people who didn't. I do think that Bush screwed up royally in letting OBL get away and set up a safe haven in Pakistan.

Also, I am leaning toward the view that we should increase troop levels in Afghanistan, as the Generals have recommended, although I am mindful of the past experience of every other nation that has gone into that country.

I don't think you're paying attention. Things in Afghanistan have never been good, but before we went in things were worse. Under the Bush administration we eliminated the Taliban government and set the people free from tyranny.

When Bush was in office the bad guys were in hiding in the mountains.

Obama the muslim/America hater gets elected and now the bad guys are running wild again.

Coincidence? You do the math.

Things in Afghanistan weren't perfect when Bush was in office, and in fact things in America weren't either but the truth is that both countries were doing better before Obama.

The Taliban has been gaining ground for years, that's why Karzai is known as the mayor of Kabul.
