I was waiting to do a post on the foiled NY/Denver/St.Louis/Illinois terror plots planned for 9/11 until after I heard the comments from The White House. My angle was going to be how they denied there was a "war on terror" or at least said they weren't using the term anymore.(i still don't understand why)I was also going to comment on how the Bush administration set up the Patriot Act (derided by libs) and Homeland Security Dept. (derided by libs...and me) and both were instrumental in uncovering this these plots. I was going to call them hypocrites for taking credit for the successful capture of the terrorists. I had big plans but for some unknown reason the White House/President hasn't made any comments.
Why?
I can't even think of any logical reason why they wouldn't be making any comments.
National Security maybe?....No. the world knows the details.
Is there anything else? Is Obama not happy about the success of H.S. or the Patriot Act because he didn't come up with them? I don't want to believe that.
Is he embarrassed because he said there was no war on terror? ...maybe but shouldn't there at least be some kind of statement from Gibbs or Emanuel? Maybe a joint press conference or statement with Napolitano?
Seriously I can't figure this one out. The only explanations I can think of are really unthinkable.
Shame? Dissapointment that they didn't succeed? Wishing they had a crisis to use? Seriously I don't like Obama and truly believe he's a Marxist but I refuse to believe he wants his countrymen to die in for his own political benefit.
So what's the explanation?

Don't want to politicize them? That's what you're thinking?
There's absolutely no way that the administration who says "never waste a good crisis" is worried about politicizing terrorist arrests.
perhaps the investigation is still on going and there is more going on behind the scenes, despite the fact that you seem to know it all since, as you wrote, "the world knows the details." does the world really know all the details? and how would you know that to be true?

1.even if the investigation is ongoing, and i'm sure it is by the way. we still know that these are major terror arrests in major cities. the administration doesn't have any comment at all?
2. jane announced that she was leaving a long time ago. she has another blog but it's private.
I could be wrong on this but i think she's making a run for public office as well. I don't know if that's official but she hinted...
If Obama had made a big deal about the arrests you would have criticized him for politicizing the matter. Since he didn't you criticize him for that. He can't win.
gary i would certainly have criticized him for taking credit for Bush administration policies that he denigrated and were responsible for foiling these terror attacks. However i don't think Obama is worried about criticism from The Aurora.
More importantly he's the President of The United States of America! The FBI,Homeland Security,and NYPD just arrested terrorists in multiple cities with plots to blow up buildings and the NYC subway.
How does that go by with no statement from the White House? Nothing to say? Really? Not a word? Not a congrats to law enforcement? Not a warning to our enemies? Not a warning for citizens to be alert? Not a reassurance to the citizens that he and his people are on top of things? NOTHING?????
I can't understand it.
