Is it health insurance? Well if you don't have health insurance you're not alone. You're 1 of about 10 million people in this country who have slipped through the cracks according to the census bureau. Not 47 million but 8-13 million. Thanks to Hot Air for doing the homework again.
The position of The Aurora for some time now has been that we (U.S.) don't have a serious healthcare problem and for those who don't have insurance the free market can handle it if the government would get out of the way.
These census bureau stats confirm the first part of that statement and common sense confirms the second.

Well, 8-13 million who need government assistance according to this article. Great! That would make healthcare reform easier, right? As far as I know people are free to buy private insurance now, so I don't see how the free market solves the problem. And the free market has led to the fact that the US pays twice as much per capita on healthcare as most countries. Every other major industrialized power has universal healthcare of one form or another, and soon we will too.
gary i'm busy today so i'm only going to explain this once.
the government is the reason why health insurance is so expensive in this country. everything from forcing insurance companies to cover too many things(which means they can't mix and match coverage like auto insurers)to not allowing them to deal across state lines(which creates virtual monopolies in each state).
So the free market can solve this very minor problem, and the fact that these other countries have this system doesn't mean it's better and in fact it's worse.
How about you take responsiblity for yourself and your health care and stop waiting for the government to constantly take care of you. How about you get off your ass, move to another state to get a job? start your own business? move to another country? That's what MEN do they don't cry to the government for help.
I will be even shorter. You're wrong. And an asshole.
The truth hurts, gary.
