OK, well the fact that this: "Occasionally, the word could be used to designate other, non-Christian, supreme rulers." is in the culture of Czars scares me about the language of Obama's appointiees. What scares me more is that there is a science Czar. The first thing that comes to my mind is the fact that the government has a Czar that will set policy on science. Think about that for a moment. What if we had a king that had a science Czar that told us that the world was flat? What if we had a science Czar that told us that the world would come to an end because the earth would warm so much that all life as we know it would end? The problem for me is that most people would believe both senarios mentioned and in a time before ours, one did. As a proponant of science, I for one do not want a Czar of scinece telling me what I think I should accept as science. The next thing you know, everything Einstein has done is mute. Anyway, I'm on a rant here and had too many vodka and sprite zero's, so I'll leave it at that.
